2025. A year where quite a few things occurred.
Before I get into recapping mode, the very first public screenshot for Potatoman: The Unholy Ghosts Chapter 1 is located at the bottom of this post. Furthermore, being Monday, there's a bonus one on Patreon for you to check out. Fun times!
Right, time to recap. A lot of things happened in 2025. Creatively, Shroomsday took up much of my attention these past twelve months, give or take. As much as I like telling stories, placing them in new and varied settings is something I enjoy just as much, if not more. Aside from SD, the list of countries explored in the 10TNTDI series grew ever bigger, ticking off North Korea, Iceland, Vietnam, Hungary, Greenland, Czechia and Slovakia, along with a couple of English counties.

Outside of the comics, I joined several collabs, biggest among them being Tankmas ADVENTure! Technically my first ever game credit, the Epic Battle Fantasy-themed piece I made for it has done numbers both here on NG and over on Bluesky. For Tankmas as a whole, it's been a stellar job from everyone involved. Once again, it neatly demonstrates the ironclad community ethos that Newgrounds possesses, and which I believe many other places would envy.

Like last year, I was able to attend an in-person NG meetup. Unlike last year, it was (blissfully) much closer to home! I've already done a more detailed recap of said meetup in this post, but it never hurts to reiterate that I had a fun time, meeting all kinds of creative people, newcomers and living legends alike! Plenty of stickers and sketches were exchanged, as with Dublin, and I got to hold up a flag! My vexillologist side was properly chuffed.
Slightly earlier in the year I got interviewed by NG's own Aalasteir, who was among the meetup attendees (on the furthest right of the attached pic!)

As of typing, 946 users follow me here on NG, and some 881 do so on the butterfly site. Who knows, maybe sometime in 2026 I'll reach that magical crossover point? Regardless, I offer a huge thanks to everyone to follows me and my wacky work. In particular, I'd like to thank the following users by name (in no particular order, as with last year):
@TomFulp for everything you do.
@Aalasteir for the interview, as linked above, and the stickers from the meetup!
@GuardiasVA, @Snackers, @JTBPreston, @UnculturedMutt @CappyCat and everyone else I met up with in London back in June!
@matt-likes-swords for sharing that Tankmas piece of mine (and of course for the Steam keys, EBF5 was (and still is) an absolute blast!)
@HenryEYES for hosting the London meet (and giving me that bust sculpture!)
@ZenonRetna for commissioning me!
@midgetsausage for Cooper Bullet and all her other creative works.
@ElectroNat for hosting The Crazy Clown Collab!! (and meeting up in Tankmas lol)
@tydaze for organising the Pride Collab (again!)
@Morpherence for hosting the Worms Collab!
@SlimyBits for the Hexagon raffle (I'm in the NG Discord if you wanna see the sweet icon he cooked up for me!)
@eeMcCutcheon for Amazing Alligator and for his Monday Movie Nights on the same server. In spite of the playback issues, Hundreds of Beavers kicked ass.
@Chdonga, @Tamag0, @Anamonator, @metateddy, @parasitejester and everyone else who inhabits the aforementioned Discord server!
@Quarl for her music, boat pics, and determination to survive whatever bullshit her cheese puff-tinged overlord and his minions throw her way.
@BBaNK for being my joint-favourite Hungarian (Adam Something and Jucika are up there too)
@BrandyBuizel for allowing me (just now) to hundred-percent the Tankmas achievements (that is unless more fish are added lol)
@larrynachos for producing (and bringing me on board for) one hell of a Tankmas ADVENTure. Really, you've done an outstanding job with it. Maybe we should collaborate (again) at some point?
And once again, @Troisnyx for (further) opening my eyes to more of what happens in the world, whether to her or more generally. Keep on singing and shining.
If anyone else reading this feels left out, just let me know and I'll add you!
I believe that's all for this post, text-wise. As mentioned at the very beginning, here's the first non-Patreon exclusive Unholy Ghosts screenie:

Happy New Year to all you non-gender specific lads. Stay safe, and stay Chazzy.

Meet ups can be so much fun, I went to several in decades past. Smile at everyone, bring a sketch pad, and just soak in the humanity. Content creation relies on so much basement dwelling, getting out of the basement is liberating. Thanks for the tag :3
