You might not know this, but I LOVE swaps. Usually roleswaps, but I was thinking about a power-swap for Dispatch
The easiest swap would be Flambae and Prism. They keep their colors, though, so Flambae makes red-orange-yellow clones and Prism’s flames are blue and pink (but they’re “regular” flames despite the coloration. No traces of lithium salt or anything). Now, their names would be different. Since a prism is what refracts white light into color, her name would probably be Kindling. I’ll have to look into cooking stuff to make a pun for his name. Unless they swap names. They totally can, though maybe it’s Flambabe? She could probably still get away with Bae, tho
Coupé and Punch Up! He would be more like his early concept designs since he never made a deal with a witch. She did, though, so she would be short. She could also be stout, but maybe she’s more elf-like. He would cover his fists with shadows to enhance them like Coupé does with her knives. She still uses her knives, but they hit like sharpened cannonballs when she throws them. She also doesn’t fly, but can jump really high and has the durability to be fine when she lands. So, again, their names are relatively the same. It’d just be Punch, Puncher, or Punch Down. She can keep Coupé, though, since she’s still cutting… just from a lower angle
The others are trickier because at a point, what’s their power and what’s a consequence of their disposition?
Sonar and Malevola will remain bat-man and demon, respectively. Sonar will not have a monster form, though. He’ll have portals and wound absorption. Malevola is the one with a monster form. Goes full demon when she goes apeshit. They also keep their names since Malevola just is her name and Sonar’s still a bat
Golem and Invisigal… these two are comedic, I dare say. He would be built relatively the same as he is, just scaled down a tad bit for more human proportions. He has a very imposing presence… but chatting with him reveals a chill guy who can turn invisible. And she’s the horniest dirt creature you’ll ever find. I think she looks like her regular self except made from dirt and mud and construction material, but she can buff up by absorbing from her surroundings. So, she’s Golem, and he’s Invisiguy
Phenomaman and Waterboy switch. Phenomaman is an alien who can secrete water. He has fully control over it (until he’s heartbroken), even adjusting the pressure to give him “flight” like a water jet pack. Waterboy, in contrast, has strength, speed, and flight that he just can’t control, mainly because it fluctuates wildly while also responding to his emotions. As for names… Phenomaman can keep his name. Waterboy could be Wildboy or something
Blonde Blazer and Track Star. Her powers will still come from the amulet, but she has super speed instead of flight and energy blasts. That’s his powers. I’m not sure if I should keep the consequences for his powers the same. With everyone else, they more or less also swapped weaknesses, but being old is a part of Chase’s character. We could switch out for losing his sight or even weakening all his senses
Mecha Man and Shroud. Basically, for this, Shroud has a huge mech suit (perhaps his finale one), while the Robertson’s implant cybernetics into themselves to be Mecha Man. Robert underwent the procedure at 15 (far too early). Uses the Astral Pulse as a power source. When it was lost after the crash, Robert can’t activate the cybernetics. They’re just in his body, making things difficult. Royd, therefore, is mostly just finding ways to help Robert as much as he’s recreating an Astral Pulse

wasnt gonna draw dispatch today but then i saw @birdssong 's future flambae design and something genuinely possessed me, i just had to draw him, that suit is fkn genius, the phoenix shaped boob window is chefs kiss. its literally 2am i am unwell
