Eligibility
In order for the referred person (“Referred”) to qualify and receive the $100.00 referral reward, all of the following conditions must be satisfied: (1) Referred has not previously opened a Chime Checking Account (“Account”); (2) Referred opens a new Account using the unique referral link sent to them by an existing Chime member (“Referrer”); (3) Referred receives in the new Account a Qualifying Direct Deposit within 45 calendar days of opening the Account; and (4) Referred activates one of their physical Chime Visa® cards within 14 calendar days of receiving a Qualifying Direct Deposit.
A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a deposit of $200.00 or more by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) that comes from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer OR a deposit by Original Credit Transaction (“OCT”) from your gig economy payer. Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions, and any deposit that Chime deems to not be legitimate are not Qualifying Direct Deposits.
Reward Timing
The referral reward will generally be provided within ten (10) business days after all the above conditions are met. The Referred acknowledges that payment of any referral reward may result in the Referrer’s knowledge of the Referred’s establishment of a new Account and receipt of a Qualifying Direct Deposit.
Limitations
Chime reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of any referral promotion or terminate a member's eligibility at any time with or without prior notice. Chime does not send referral links on its own behalf. Referrers should only send a referral link to a friend who has consented to receive the invitation prior to the Referrer’s sending of the link.
By participating in this promotion, including acting on an invitation or attempting enrollment in an Account through the Referrer’s link, you acknowledge and confirm that you previously provided the Referrer consent to send their referral link to you via text or email, prior to the Referrer’s sending of their referral link. Chime is not responsible for any referral communications sent without such consent.
Credits of $10 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-INT for new members (Referred). For more account opening disclosures for the Chime Checking Account, please see the Bancorp Deposit Account Agreement or the Stride Deposit Account Agreement, based upon your issuing bank.
