Resume production of the Wings of Fire animated series

Resume production of the Wings of Fire animated series
The Issue
Last year, Tui T. Sutherland shared the news of the TV series with millions of Wings of Fire fans around the globe. There was immediately a huge cause for celebration. YouTube videos were made, theories were excitedly chatted about, and fans got closer and closer to share their excitement of the animated series to their favorite NY Times Bestseller.
Today, May 17, 2022, Netflix shared they scrapped the project. This has left fans nothing short of devastated. We wanted to see our favorite characters brought to a wider audience, see Pyrrhia through new lenses, and had our complete faith and trust in Ava Duvernay and Netflix to bring our favorite world to life.
There was so much potential. How many dragon fans are out there, and how few films/series exist in a dragon-centric universe? It was a unique entry, especially in the world of animation. A breath of fresh air for dragon and fantasy lovers.
So here we are, the fans, asking that the scrapping of Wings of Fire be reconsidered, or for the project to be picked up by someone else. We already have our hashtag, #SaveWingsofFire, as #2 trending on Twitter.
If our petition falls deaf upon Netflix, Perhaps another Platform can see the true potential in this creative project (HBOmax? Hulu? Peacock? We are looking at you).
There are millions of loyal Wings of Fire fans around the world that WILL support the making of this series, subscribe to the platforms, and make sure to watch the show upon launch. Make our dreams a reality, and don’t give up on this creative dream. We are counting on Ava Duvernay and her team to believe in themselves as much as we believe in them. And we are counting on the right platform to believe in it, too. #SaveWingsofFire

WOF helped me read. Did you know that? I hated reading until I found Wings of fire. Now look at me the best reader in my class. All thanks to wings of fire. I was so happy when I first heard it was a show. That was one of the happiest times of my life. It broke my heart when the canceled it. We need this show all of the WOF fans need this show. Its...
this book series is my life, and after they stopped production I went through a phase of depression. I will gladly fight in order for this show to go back into production.
I know how much this series means to a lot of people. WoF is one of those series that, especially for younger kids, encourages you to read and write and draw- to just be generally creative. I don't know a single person who read the series that didn't feel changed in the best of ways. It's like Bluey in book form.
