anywho, this is nova’s design for the Wishing Star AU, [ the name sucks ass I know ] who is currently dealing with the endless chaos of planet Popstar, and taking care of a child. As far as anybody’s concerned, heaven is burning and the laws mean nothing. Nobody is safe from the shenanigans-

refocusing on the topic, Nova technically deals with a bunch of cosmic shit that goes around the galaxy, because one, in this universe his powers are equivalent to a god, meaning he has to take up responsibility, and two, he can’t just grant wishes out of nowhere. In fact, Susie put a limiter to the wish function because of how broken it is, so what else to do in your time other than floating around?

the reason why he even exists right now is between the events of Forgotten Land, Susie got warped to the place where Nova was broken into pieces, and initially tried to steal some parts. But after seeing some use for whatever unknown reason, she fixed him. After that, the guy kinda felt indebted to her. So of course he followed her back. That started off well with Susie threatening to shoot him down and everybody going into worldwide panic.

But as of now, he maintains the very fragile peace that goes around, before Marx or the four idiots [ Dedede, Meta Knight, Kirby, and Ban-Dee ] decide to do something interesting. In order to keep said peace, he has to come down and check without anybody finding out [ otherwise they might freak and get a heart attack,] leading to him using a series of disguises that hide his identity. Most infamously, he takes the form of a cat that lives in a mountain shrine near the town, and sometimes takes a stroll to see everything going well. Other than that, he has to deal with his peers getting a little tired and do some terrifying things… but that’s a story for another time.
