In this short video, I show you the steps to adding and subtracting fractions when they have different denominators. First, multiply your denominators together. Then, cross multiply your numerator of one fraction by the denominator of the section fraction and vice versa. The product of those can be added together (if the problem is adding fractions) and subtracted (if the problem is subtracting fractions). Don't forget to simplify if needed!
