Introduction to 800 cherries:
Formed in Sapporo in autumn 1994 by Marufuji Manami, Ritsuko Ootera and Sayuki Takahashi, they released their first cassette tape album 'piccolo' in 1995 with Clover Records and their own label Fractal, and became a two-piece in 1997. A secretive, home-recorded pop unit known by those in the know for their warm melodies and sound.
The minimalistic floating sound common to Stereo Lab, melancholic organic electronic sounds like Donna Regina and pop melodies reminiscent of early Salon Music have a unique sense of style. After working in several units, he joined Pervenche in 2007.
