I understand that this is never gonna be the case for obvious economic reasons, but the rumors of a possible New Vegas remaster are reminding me of how much I really wish that we lived in a world where an enhanced remaster or re-release or re-whatever of games that released in a clearly unfinished state (or at least had a bunch of potential ideas that had to get cut because of development time) was a chance for the devs to go back and actually finish the game, instead of just "It's the same game in the exact same state it originally released but now it requires a beefier machine to run"

Like idk I think it's weird how we've like collectively decided that the only things that are allowed to be tweaked in re-releases like this is the audiovisual presentation and everything else has to stay the same because it needs to be "faithful" to the way it originally was.
