Have you guys noticed how much the internet/technology just does not listen to you anymore? I click “don’t show this artist” on Spotify and I get recommended a music video by them on the front page. I click “skip this update” on a pop up every time I open a file organization app and it’s right back there every time. O click unsubscribe on a newsletter and it keeps showing up in my inbox!! I click “delete my account” and the next time I open the website they suggest I “reactivate”.

That was a fun event.

It was nice to have arknights do the ‘lapsing into another language’ thing but this time I don’t have to look anything up. And yes yes, I know I should know, say, more Spanish than Japanese but language learning in the UK is fundamentally inadequate(true but nevertheless a feeble excuse I know) and I’m also afflicted with the condition known as 'being a weeb’ so there’s that >.>.

*clears throat*

Anyway, here’s some of my favorite cgs from the event:

Hoshi was as badass as expected though I did end up finding Haruka a lot more endearing than I expected and a she became a favourite (shame the RNG sensed this and I got 2 Hoshi alters and 0 Haruka T_T, hopefully the singles are kind to me).

And some of the new npc designs that I particularly liked, starting with the yakuza

I particularly like how the feline is wearing leopard print and the phidia is wearing snakeskin XD.

And of course there’s the NPCs that have not only a cool design but make me want to know more about them.

There’s Sarasa, the adorable cyber ninja/noble princess as well as Suzu-dad/the Kannushi-sama (I don’t think we got his name? ).

Both of whom I hope escape NPC jail at some point.

Also Mio

I was just thinking and…well, I didn’t forget about Mio, but she’s so alluring and beautiful as well as being a terrifying badass that I just kind of thought it went without saying. I mean, I already knew Mio was going to be great, you already knew she was going to be great that I just…didn’t mention her.

But I ought to have. She’s another NPC who’ll print money for HG upon escaping NPC prison.

my unpopular opinion is that i hate tiktok because now people just publicly watch loud ass videos in public spaces with no regard for anyone else. 100% it was not this bad with youtube, it’s such a different thing with tiktok. put on headphones. you are grown.

This is it! This is what social media/smart tech have done! They’ve rotted away any distinction between private and public.

Yes, we do have the right to make demands on public behavior. Of course we do. Have you never heard of laws and etiquette? I’m not allowed to grocery shop naked. You can’t rummage through my purse. I can’t have a work meeting in the middle of a movie theatre.

I remember when it was taboo simply to answer your cell phone in public. The person answering would apologize and try to go to a more private area. Then public calls were normalized. Then putting people on speaker. Then listening to music without headphones. Do you know how many times I have hiked up a mountain or driven to the beach, only to be met with someone blaring shitty top 40 music from their portable speaker, because Heaven forbid you go one hour without noise?

Old woman yells at cloud and all that, but I can’t believe someone is not only admitting this behavior, but saying it’s a good thing! No one likes you! You’re a menace!
