I could definitely be reaching and reading too into things but I feel like something could be seen with Kankri's snide slut shaming comments towards Porrim and his denial of his own feelings. The bit with Kankri and Latula where he remembers her trying to sniff the cake and finding it cute really stuck to me and a lot of other people because on one hand it's an interesting detail that Kankri remembers little things like that about people and shows some level of genuine care for taking note of people's quirks, but it's also like, kinda creepy of him. He doesn't mean any ill will but like dude she's in a relationship just get over her, she's not disgusted by how you feel but she's still creeped out to some degree that you won't admit it or just get over it. Kankri still has a crush on Latula and he knows she's dating Mituna but he doesn't get over her because he doesn't want to admit to himself that he wants someone who's already in a relationship. Mayhaps he feels like he himself is somewhat of a whore for having these feelings and so he overcorrects by never addressing how he feels and vents his anger at himself by calling Porrim a whore for having had several sexual partners. Maybe that's also some of his motivation for his vow of celibacy.

I'm not a fan of Kankri being made out to be the catholic church boy troll, but his views on being sexual and feeling romantic feelings does kinda give the vibes of someone raised in a really religious household. I like humanstuck Kankri being in a religious household for this reason.
