Spring is a time of renewal, hope and inspiration. It brings a boost of energy, blooming flowers and trees, longer, sun-filled days and improved mood! The 2020 pandemic certainly changed the way we work, live and socially interact, but it also made us stronger, together. After a year of challenge, we can see light at the end of the tunnel.

As of February 18, 2021, at least seven different vaccines across three platforms have been rolled out in various countries. Safe and effective vaccines will be a game-changer: in March, restaurants and other business have finally returned to full capacity as Lamont rolls back COVID restrictions in Connecticut. Certainly, we must continue precautions such as wearing masks, physically distancing and avoiding crowds, but things are looking up.

Speaking of looking up, we have some exciting news and announcements to share with you. PLUS: we’ve got a sweet deal just for you — earn up to $100 for referring a friend to CTL!
Option 1: CTL caregivers can receive a bonus of $50 for each caregiver they refer to the company.

Stipulation:

CTL is preparing to launch one of our biggest advertising campaigns to date!

One of the main objectives of this campaign is to spread awareness about the Adult Family Living (AFL) Program, which is a program that offers financial assistance to caregivers for being the primary caregiver for a family member or friend.

The second objective is hiring needs. If you know someone who may be interested in a career with CTL, please refer them to us, you could earn up to $100 through our referral program!

Be sure to tune in to WICC, WEBE, 93.7, and 95.7 to hear our commercial advertisements.
The CTL Pantry food kiosk opened in December 2020 and thanks to you has been a success! Your continued support is making a positive impact in 2021!

100% of net proceeds go to the CTL Foundation, our non-profit that supports low- income individuals with personal care assistance and food insecurity.

Kiosk offerings include beverages and light fare, such as coffee, sandwiches, hot lunch, salads and snacks. All leftover food is donated at the end of day.

We are located in the Riverview East commercial office building in Norwalk, CT.

Stop by and see us soon!
The CTL Pantry is available for the benefit of CTL's clients, especially those on Medicaid who are elderly or otherwise unable to procure essential food either due to financial hardship or COVID-19 related precautions.

This program will also be available for any CTL employee who due to financial hardship, COVID-19 related spousal job loss, or financial strain, may need additional food assistance.

If you or someone you know is interested in the CTL Pantry Program, please contact Andy Tran at atran@ctl-ct.org.
Drew suffered an Anoxic Brain Injury in 2014 that put him in the ICU for a month, fighting for his life. Once stabilized, he spent two months in an acute rehabilitation hospital, followed by 3 years in a sub-acute facility. Initially immobile, with a trachea and feeding tube, he slowly started his recovery.

He started slowly, by lifting just one finger. Over time he learned to breathe on his own, drink and eat, sit up, and eventually control a wheelchair with a functional left hand and arm. He also suffered from Aphasia and has had to relearn how to speak.

It's been a long journey, but one that his mother and caregivers were wholeheartedly committed to. Six and a half years later Drew is able to stand and even take steps with assistance. He has had many years of therapy to combat spasticity and learn to reconnect his brain and muscles. Moving with Hope in Shelton took over after insurance was no longer available, and family and friends refused to give up on him. Most important of course, was that Drew did not give up on himself.

This photo was taken this week at the Barwis Neuro-Reengineering Center in Deerfield Beach, Florida where he is currently undergoing an intensive 8-week program assisted by his brother, a CTL caregiver, and seeing incredible results.
