Ask me about the Reachmen, Please.

@corviride

She/Her -- How do you say "God I love women," as Gaeilge?

"But we don't blame the river for these things. That's just life on the Karth."

Dia duit and Ey swayel! I hear it's the norm on this website to make a post introducing yourself so people can know if you're the kind of person they wanna interact with? Ech, I'm bad at introductions. My name is Aurelia, I am a transgender lesbian from British Columbia, Canada, I am a student of Irish and Halq'emeyelem, and I'm learning how to swing a sword good. I post about Reachmen from the Elder Scrolls, and not really much else. Go play Fragments of the Past, go read Aad Semblio Impera (Hello, Maple!), and always remember that the people in power have more reason to lie than they have to tell the truth. Oh I'm also writing a Skyrim fic -- P'raps you all will get to read it one day, but you will definitely get to hear about it. I stumbled dick first into naming the main character, Daighre, the same thing as an in-game NPC -- I swear I did it by accident from altering Deire. Hóyòwèlh and Slán Go Fóill!

hi guys check out this tribal tattoo I gave my tribal oc from a tribe. no I don't know which nation they're from or what ethnicity they have. maybe they're from polynesiaaaa? yeah just like every single nation in polynesia. does it matter. they're from a Tribe they're Tribal can't you tell from the triangles and the random swirls

ok like kakapo are great and all, i love them dont get me wrong but takahē are by far the best endangered new zealand bird and quite possibly THE Best Bird?

you cant really get any better than this. criminally underrated

Even better, we thought it was extinct for 50 years, and then we just found a whole bunch in a meadow. We lost a bright purple flightless bird the size of a large chicken for 50 years.

wow mr sawyer you really spent a lot of time denying the text of the game you wrote back in 2012! like things characters straight up say to the player! i hope you're more willing to accept now you literally have a character say "Women are beneath notice, as Caesar has taught us. I'm only allowing you to speak to me because you are Caesar's guest." and understand why people interpret that as "oh Caesar is a misogynist"

the entire thing he posted about the fact that the soldiers are also slaves (which is true) and it's basically a useless comparative (not true) to talk about the sexism of the legion was so rage-inducing i got dizzy. yes they are enslaved warriors that have to fight or die and are effectively part of the Mass of Violence that is the legion but they quite literally have more volition and have at least a slight right to spoils and a distinct higher position in the legion than the women who do not fight or have the ability to take, they are explicit passive objects for the men to use and abuse. no the men do not get parades but they are told they get to share in the glory and they are the active force that exudes a systemically enforced power over women. like bro what in gods name were you trying to pull here. even as an oppressed class they have a power over the women of that same class

reminds me of the time when Sawyer responded to people saying Honest Hearts was a blisteringly racist story whose central plot was about the necessity of the White Saviour to protect the Noble Savage from the Evil Savage, and his only response to that criticism was that *actually,* it's fine, because one of the missionaries is descended from East Asians and the White Legs are actually descended from white people so really the mormon missionaries are fighting colonialism :).

"why do so many people play paladins as cops" I Wonder. google dot com what are 'the crusades'. google dot com do the mechanical and aesthetic features of heroic fantasy contain any perspectives that may inform this. google dot com what is the fantasy genre's relationship to race

white people in this country are so scared of anything māori. it would be funny if it wasn't so deeply sad

a few years ago there was national outrage and an attempt to boycott an entire chocolate company. not for unethical cocoa sourcing (whittakers makes an active effort to source all its cocoa beans 100% ethically). not for anything actually worth boycotting. nope! the outrage was over ONE special edition block of chocolate that was written in te reo māori instead of english. the main complaint from pākehā online? "we don't understand what it says! how are we supposed to know what we're buying!!!" I don't know man. I truly don't know how to help you if you can't understand that this is milk chocolate. no hope for you at all
