At the sound of her voice, he paused. His actions had been jerky, not gentle, meant to get this task done as fast as possible while his mind raced with questions. She deserved better than that.
Link turned toward the gash and forced himself to take a deep breath. His rage would do nothing for her. His fear for Ganondorf would not help him at this moment. He needed to be slow. Careful. Gentle.
