Loki or Lucien. They/it/e, autistic, adhd, ace, agender (or aaaa for short), crafty, LARPer, European. Mostly here for the weirdness, memes and fanart. Hazbin Hotel, Good Omens, lots of other fandoms. May post something occasionally. Loves broccoli 🥦 and bees 🐝

The way y'all treat people with severe/high needs autism is a huge reason WHY it needs more "awareness" and things like special dolls that look like them to start the conversation. Because even when you KNOW someone is high needs you act like they're evil monsters who exist specifically to rob you of your rightful Barbie who doesn't look autistic or use adaptive devices associated with autistic people. (Hint: you have literally every other barbie for this)

Y'all spent SO LONG telling everyone we don't need awareness and we already know about autism, how about you SHOW some of that awareness and treat high needs people right?

practicing poses starting with v!owen (but I lowkey spent a little too long for it to be practice)

every time I think about Dilbert I think about this comic and how the question being asked is Not Stupid and its answer is genuinely interesting and arguably very important information anyone using a computer should know

i was gonna say “wow, they’re really pushing the came back wrong trope because buffy keeps repeating the exact phrase” until i googled and realise the phrase “came back wrong” literally originates from buffy. this show is like the modern shakespeare

in 2004 a thread started on buffistas.org to discuss tropes used in Buffy and other Whedonverse shows. At the time there were no formal names for most tropes so users assigned them names based on the scenes they were discussing. This thread inspired one of the site members to start the website TVTropes.org

Most of the listings on TVtropes were named after scenes and quotes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

what learning fandom history is like

(and if it's not btvs, as people in the tags have noted, it's star trek or the x-files)

It's occasionally MST3k, who gave us "nightmare fuel" and "high-octane nightmare fuel"

fanfic writers and fan artists are carrying fandoms. they are the backbone of fandoms.

thank you fanfic writers and fan artists

Obi-Wan wears like 53 layer of robes so everyone assumes he’s kinda soft especially compared to his ‘in the prime of his youth’ former Padawan but then one day he goes shirtless to spar and he’s shredded, he has an 8 pack. Clones and Jedi alike are choking on drinks and tripping into walls. Ahsoka is covering her eyes and screaming because that’s basically her grandpa. Anakin has to throw a robe over Obi-Wan like The Birth of Venus.

I BLAME YOU ALL

Why isn’t this in the Met or the Louve, I ask kindly.

"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. Maybe many of us won't be here to greet her, but on a quiet day, if I listen very carefully, I can hear her breathing."

tchaikovsky is proud

In case anyone is baffled by this, there’s a Tchaikovsky piece in which there’s supposed to be a loud sound but he never specified what you should use to make that sound. People have done all kinds of weird shit depending on how they think the sound should, well, sound. Hitting a large piece of wood with a sledgehammer is a relatively conventional one.

Ah look, it’s back. The post that’s wrong and makes me actually want to talk about music history.

A) This piece is not Tchaikovsky, it’s called Ricochet (Ping Pong Concerto) by Andy Akiho

B) Tchaikovsky has some unconventional percussion in the 1812 Overture, but it explicitly calls for an actual literal battery of cannons. It’s often creatively replaced by conductors because not all performance halls and/or educational establishments condone the use of an actual literal battery of cannons.

C) The piece that requires unspecified percussion is Mahler’s 6th Symphony, which calls for a sound that is “brief and mighty, but dull in resonance and with a non-metallic character (like the fall of an axe).” This is usually translated as “Take a huge-ass hammer and hit a huge-ass block of wood with it.”

There's a reason some autistic people don't seem autistic. We were, or still are, forced to hide our autistic behaviours to avoid punishment.

majorscything it up (i somehow never drew them and only realized today what the actual hell)

So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:

hehehehehe
