No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to post

@d0uble-0h-se7en

This is a remade blog, I've been on tumblr since 2010. I'm a 27 year-old (๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ) third culture kid (๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ผ) with a penchant for travel (been to: all of the above, plus ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ. on the list: ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ) and a love of old movies; especially classic cinema, political comedies in the vein of The Death of Stalin, the 80s blockbuster era, and gentlemen spies. He/him only. May occasionally discuss adult topics, but I do not consider this an 18+ blog. If you're old enough to be on tumblr, you're old enough to handle the discussions had here. Otherwise it's your responsibility to protect yourself, not mine to protect you. More details in my pinned post.

Hi there, this is the remade blog of ceasarslegion. But you should know that if you followed me here. This is hopefully going to be a fresh start for me to get rid of the issues I was having with harassment and cyberbullying. That said, I will still protect myself by turning off anonymous asks and issuing a no-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. I'll break down some of the main points and hard boundaries in bullet form:

-You can still send me anonymous asks if you want to, just let me know in the ask that you want to remain anonymous. In that case I will just publish a screenshot with your URL cut out and answer it that way. But I won't do that if you try to use this route to harass me: I'll answer it publicly with your URL attached if you try that.

-I do not believe in revolutionary burn-it-all-down politics. I will not be platforming any glorification of widespread violence or murder, no matter who it's against. If you can not respect that, this is not the place for you.

-I describe my political views as "left-liberal" because there is no one ideology that fully describes me, so I use two umbrella terms that it tends to fall within. Some schools of democratic socialism more closely align with the specifics of it. I also have an ivy league, honours with distinction degree in political science before anybody tries to claim that I haven't read enough theory and dont know what im talking about; I've most likely read whatever you're about to tell me will change my mind multiple times. Ive also lived in and been to authoritarian dictatorships, I was raised in a family of cold war specialists, and I actually get my news from the news, so I dont exactly get my political views from sensationalist tumblr posts.

-I'm an airport security guard by current occupation. The exact equivalent of a TSA agent but I am not american, so I do not work for the TSA. Why? It pays the bills comfortably with money to spare while I look for my career, and there's no work to bring home with me after i clock out. I often post about work stories and am always happy to reassure people nervous about going through security, but I will not tolerate anybody comparing me to a cop or shouting "ACAB" at me. If you don't even know the difference between a police officer and an airport guard, you should not be making politically-charged statements about either. I also will not entertain the myriad of conspiracy theories about my job. I literally work with this equipment all day every day, I think I know more than your tiktok.

-I do not have a DNI because I believe theyre useless and that its up to us to control our own experience, and its a futile effort to try to control who interacts with you online.

-I dont care about ship discourse but if you insist on asking what side I agree with more, call me a proshipper. Theyre drawings bro, they arent real people, I do not care, I have a job ๐Ÿ˜ญ

My hobbies include!: terrarium building, collecting retro consoles and games, collecting VHS tapes and classic movies (2 movies to go in my 007 collection!), reading, writing, gaming, drawing, plants/botany, true crime, building miniatures, lego, going on walks, i love a good long drive, i love animals, and I love to travel. Will always show my collections, plants, and miniatures when asked :))

TAG LEGEND!! Filter these tags if you dont want to see this type of content:

-vent post: for venting

-ramblings: for long-form traditional blog posts and random thoughts and comments

-r/pol: for political posts

-terrarium tag: for updates related to my terrariums

-work tales: for my stories about work

-atheism tag: for posts about my atheism and personal distaste for cultural religiosity

I'll most likely add more to this as things come up, but I hope everyone has fun here. This is a clean slate, and I hope to leave the problems I was consistently having on my old blog behind.

Lots of folks own bad cars. Owning an interesting bad car, though? That's where you'll get my respect. Anyone can pick up a misfiring Infiniti G35 with the lower half of its drivers' door missing, but it's not a compelling package. Show up with a wheezing rotary-swapped MGB GT, and you can be King Shit of Beater Island for very little cash outlay.

People who aren't "into" cars like to imagine that car people all fantasize about the expensive cars. A Ferrari is pretty pricey, and flashy, and rich people drive them, but if you ask the folks I hang out with, it's not an object of desire. Sure, it would be fun to beat on for a little while until the bearings come out the top, and then swap in whatever Cuban diesel tractor engine you can find in the corner of the garage. You can't buy that from a dealership, mostly because what they are really selling you is a lifestyle.

Now, you don't need to heavily modify your car to be interesting either. Sometimes, just buying a car that nobody else has could do it. My neighbour has a Suzuki Kizashi, and if you know what that looks like without having to do a Google image search, we should probably hang out sometime. If that thing ever goes up for sale, I'm going to be over there that same day, offering an insultingly low amount of money for it. I can roll that thing up to my local burger meet and everyone will be staring at it instead of the guy with a Camaro. He's trying too hard to have a "good car," which is a moral failing.

What I'm trying to get at is this: the best way to have fun with cars is to get a fun car. Listen to that little voice in your head that tells you what to do, that you ignore all the time. Whatever mental illness and/or lifelong childhood trauma you're holding onto can be a helpful method for selecting a unique beater. And don't be afraid to just randomly show up at a used car dealership and demand to drive the first thing you see with a logo you don't recognize. Salespeople think in brands, and being ignorant of the very concept of brands weakens them deeply. Then you can get a pretty good deal. I'll wave and give you that little half-nod when you're broken down on the side of the road. I'd stop, but my brakes don't work.

Re my tags on that last reblog. I was in a few clinical trials and psych studies in college. I was also in one that was trying to see if music and background noise effected focus while answering questions. I got a bunch of wires on my head and they had me write a pretty basic exam while they played different types of music at different volumes. I got a 50 dollar tim hortons gift card for my trouble on that one

When you point out to people who are against animal testing that there are potentially lifesaving medications that need to be tested on mammals before going to trials that could potentially harm human lives, theyโ€™ll say shit like โ€œWe should test on prisoners instead.โ€ Bitch. Why are you working for PETA? The WW2-era Imperial Japanese Army needs you. There is suchhhhhhh a strong thread of fascism laced through the current animal rights movement and in so many animal rights spaces and theyโ€™re extremely transparent about it.

I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at animal cruelty

That scene from Community is so accurate, that is exactly how these people sound. Racism, ableism and classism often tangled with their crusade for โ€˜animal rightsโ€™ and their talking points often go against basic ethics and basic animal husbandry.
