plans are particles. they change and adapt. i didn't intend to spend 4 hours in the dark tunnel and take an edible I found in my backpack, but saturday guided my hand and here we are

i might have fallen asleep in the tunnel but i had nemo guarding me so it's fine

I wish I lived here...

if I had like 100 million dollars I would get a house with lots of really tall rooms and many walls made of glass so you could see whats in lots of the other rooms and then I would get like models of like 10,000 different really strange polyhedra and then put shelves on every wall and then put them ordered in a grid like pattern like this along every wall and maybe continuing suspended from the roof as well. and then I would play like scary minimalist ambient music at all times and have lots of strange mazelike halls so I would always pass a lot of polyhedra every time I had to go anywhere and it would be really strange

in drawing class yesterday we were doing a critique for our self-portraits, and one girl, who is like the coolest chillest stoner girl type imaginable, had drawn herself at the dentist holding that thing that sucks the water or of your mouth, and one person was like “what’s that you’re holding?” and she said “it’s mister thirsty.” and we all sat there for a second processing, and one boy said “…did you just call that thing mister thirsty?” and she was like “yeah, is that not what you call it?” and everyone shouted NO and she was like “i don’t know what you guys are on. it’s called mister thirsty.”

i promise the map of salamander diversity is not what you expect

Appalachia numero uno salamander capital of the world baby <3 there are like 70 something species in North Carolina alone

Basically its cause they evolved here!

The U.S. states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama also have the most biodiverse freshwater ecosystems in the world.

The Appalachian Mountains are notable for having the world's greatest diversity of tree species in a temperate forest, with over 100 species of tree that make up the forest. They're also a global hotspot of lichen biodiversity.

Fun fact, dozens of genera of plants only have 2 species in them, one found in Appalachia and one found in SE Asia. These are called vicariad species pairs. Eastern Asia and Appalachia has very similar climates, that's why all the major Appalachian invasive species, such as Kudzu, are from eastern Asia

The SE United States has some of the nation's most biodiverse ecosystems but they are also some of the least protected.

I don’t fucking know my man

The answer to your question is actually “you’re not” - this is only 1/3 of the whole sign, and you need all of it to be able to read it sensibly. But, before you start thinking “oh well, I guess that’s not so bad then” - Here is the entire thing, with a handy guide to show you how to read it.
