There's SO much pressure to be/look feminine in a traditionally marketable way! Pretty much all of your secondary revenue (which is important when your 'pro wage' is essentially a stipend) relies on you being camera-friendly! Brands targeting dudes are not generally investing in female athletes, your brand deals are likely with companies who want to put a "strong female spin" on a very tradItionally girly product! YOU ARE SEEN AS A MORE VALUABLE ASSET TO THE SPORT IF YOU ARE PRETTY AND FEMME AND STRAIGHT DUDES THINK YOU'RE HOT
