electricpuppettheatre What it says on the tin: Epic pop metal. A bit heavier than Moonbathers.

Ole This was a nice surprise. There are some parts that reminds me of Within Temptation (not meant as a compliment), but other than that there are some great and catchy songs here. Can't select it from the list, but "The Greatest Escape" is my favorite track.

Curugil I came to Delain because of the vocals. The music is good too, don't get me wrong, but Charlotte's soaring operatic highs and contrasting close whispers, while often complimented by the music, really are the highlight here. Favorite track: Masters Of Destiny     .

James Laycock I can't pick a favourite track. Love them all. And love Charlotte's voice. I can't see how they can top this one, but I hope they try
Matthew Cambion

Matthew Cambion "Apocalypse & Chill" is pretty much the ultimate coronavirus mood. I don't think Delain saw the pandemic coming when they came up with this idea, but it's timely as hell.

vderka First of All I am unable to set favorite track in Bandcamp so I write it: Masters of Destiny.

Even writing about it gives me goosebumps, everytime, guaranteed. This album as a whole is an absolute peak for DELAIN, I wish that they continue this line in their next releases, so help them any higher power above us! Well done Delain, keep up the good work!

about

Transcend boundaries – DELAIN invites you to Apocalypse & Chill

Dutch chart-topping rock outfit Delain have spent the last several years increasingly taking the world by storm, one album at a time. Now, with five successful releases already under their belts, the heavy crossover icons reach new heights with their latest multi-faceted dystopian masterpiece, Apocalypse & Chill. On Apocalypse & Chill, Delain leave all stereotypes and preconceived notions in the dust – exploring themes of impending doom and human indifference – making this their boldest, most daring and undeniable offering yet. Apocalypse & Chill is a refresher – carefully yet powerfully weaving violent riffs, synth heavy soundscapes and fully orchestrated compositions with vocalist Charlotte Wessels’ unmatched vocal potency, while not straying too far from the band's established sound. “We think Apocalypse & Chill will surprise our listeners,” the band states. “It is heavy with new influences and we’re really curious to find out how our audience will respond to that.”
