About me:

  • auDHD (plus borderline or OCD? not sure yet)
  • aro/ace lesbian. Yes that makes sense
  • a nerd
  • I got that 'takes things literally' and 'rule following' autism, so I'm a fuckin' square
  • fancy myself something of an artist, even if it's been a while since I've made any art

Stuff I like:

  • music!
  • photography
  • computers/tech (fuck AI)
  • Star Trek (DS9 my beloved)
  • Hollow Knight and Silksong!
  • Sonic
  • Hermitcraft (not general MCYT)

I'll try to tag posts, but can't promise 100% accurate coverage.

Personal tags (will update as I think of them/need them):

#text by jelly // text posts

#venting jelly // vent posts

IDK I might not keep the pinned post long-term.

Also, I'm an anti-capitalist leftist. Nazis and Zionists can fuck off!

I’m getting really tired of my family harassing me about sometimes not being the best roommate who has too many housekeeping responsibilities proportionally. I was asked today by my mother what was causing my issues recently, which I honestly answered that I’m just so damn tired. She thought it was appropriate to retort “aren’t we all?”

Like no, cishet Christian white woman with a very part-time job, you aren’t as to-the-bone exhausted as me, a politically persecuted minority in being a gay trans woman who has to exist and sleep in house common areas because we don’t have enough fucking bedrooms and also works a tiring customer service full-time job. Fuck off.

the fact that generative A.I. has created a completely new fundamental doubt in reality (checking to see if an artwork we see is manmade or not) and doubt in the instinct of enjoying art is unforgivable. its sickeningly tragic, and i mean it. NOTHING is worth this price and i hope that everyone will one day realize this.

One of my least favorite things in consumer electronics repair is that replacement is often more cost effective than repair. Like even if we had right to repair regulations that made things actually repairable, they also need to be cost effective to repair. We should be prioritizing repairing things that still have life in them rather than constantly making new shit just to replace cheap shit that’s not built to last.
