Ice chilled Sylus’s hand. “What’s this?”

A gift.” Zayne shrugged, hands shoved in his coat pockets.

Sylus’s lips curled up as he cradled the small crow in his hands, eyes tracing over the delicate feathers carved into the snow. "It's beautiful," he murmured.

Zayne shook his head. "I wouldn't call it beautiful," he muttered. "It's a silly thing, that's all."

"It's a gift you made especially for me, with your own hands." Sylus tenderly held one of Zayne's hands, balancing it in his own. in his other, he lifted the crow, examining it closely with a soft grin. "That's beautiful."

SHIP LOG: Day Four

I've made a new discovery that's eased the sting of yesterday. It seems there are multiple types of Pikmin! I had initially thought they were all red with small noses, but I've found a different Pikmin. These ones are yellow, with large ears and no nose. They even have their own Onion! The Pikmin are constantly surprising me.

I love how it shows in the series that Kieran is a papas boy and Luke is a mamas boy it’s so adorable 😭😭😭🩷🩷 imagine a scenario where both reader and sylus have the boys separately for one day

EEEEEEE YES

okay I’ll write the scenario because omg thats adorable (i got chaotic parent trap vibes lol even though it doesn’t make sense with crow fam??) but first i wanna talk about the family dynamics because yEAH KIERAN IS A PAPAS BOY AND LUKE IS A MAMAS BOY AND THERES ACTUAL THOUGHT PUT INTO THEIR DYNAMICS GUYS I SWEAR I JUST HAVENT REALLY GIVEN THEM THE SPOTLIGHT

hi i just binged the entirety of crow family i love it so much i'm gonna nom on everyone (and maybe take a chance with caleb)

They will love the noms they are a very bite-y family 🙂‍↕️ (and you should 100% take that chance with caleb, the boy needs some love rn)

Anonymous asked:

what brought me to your blog was unnatural affinity, but the first fic i read was necessary comfort. i just didn't knew at that time that it was you.

then one day i randomly decided to binge read your works after i had finished with unnatural affinity and while reading the fic, i thought it was familiar, then i realized it was because i had already read it.

sending lots of love and virtual hugs!!🤗❤️❤️

Oooh wait that’s so cool that you found me again heheheh so glad to have you my love 🫶 giving you a big ole forehead smooch 😘

SHIP LOG: Day Three

LOCATION: PNF-404, Forest of Hope

The Forest of Hope holds more surprises than I had anticipated. Not only are the winding pathways difficult to navigate, but the predators of this planet are much more populated here. One such enemy, which I am calling a Bulborb, was particularly aggressive. Despite my attempts to attack from behind while it was asleep, the Bulborb was much faster and much larger than my group of Pikmin.

thinking about that one caleb home screen line thats “its just like that movie we watched last night— two former lovers meet again after years apart. gazing into each others eyes, just like us, they didn’t recognize each other…” and now im imagining an angsty self aware au where caleb recognizes you but you dont realize its really him and now youre separated by a screen so hes desperately trying to get you to remember with little hints in the voice lines and i cant really word this properly rn T-T

like how mc loses her memory every time she dies, imagine she dies again in an experiment for cross-dimensional travel or whatever so she ends up in our world where caleb is just a game character and shes always drawn to him but assumes shes just fangirling over her fave character but then caleb recognizes her and pieces everything together and is just struck with the realization that hes not real to her, not anymore

Hello again, Disso!! I hope you're doing good as always!! Now Regarding the new ask game, I bet you're probably expecting me to say Crow Family right? SHIP LOG: Day Two

LOCATION: PNF-404, Impact Site

By some stroke of luck I thought only belonged to my wife, we managed to find the Positron Generator. It's a bit damaged, but it should be able to let the S.S. Mephisto travel a little farther. I've gotten radar detections from a wooded area nearby. We'll explore that next. Cautiously, I'm calling this area the Forest of Hope. I can only hope it will hold the missing parts I need.

The first time you did it, Sylus didn't flinch.

In all honesty, you hadn't really expected him to. But it seemed logical that the act of you chucking a ruby at his face would get some kind of reaction, right?

Instead, you earned his crimson mist wrapping around it in an instant, accompanied by his long-suffering sighs. He didn't even look at you!

The second time, you thought it might hit. But at the last second, his hand shot up in a flash and caught the ruby easily. He cast you a sidelong glance. Of amusement or disappointment, you couldn't tell.

By the sixth time, it was more for the sake of seeing how long it would take to annoy him than to actually hit him. Which, it turns out, Sylus had more patience than you thought.

Much more patience than you.

At twenty rubies, the only way you were keeping track of how many it had been was the small pile that had collected on his desk.

At thirty-seven, you stopped. For an hour or two, at least. The game was getting boring and you had things to do anyway.

Sylus, though, eyed you warily. It wasn't like you to stop without a clear victory, even when it was clear he would not be losing. He was tense as the hours ticked by, only allowing his shoulders to ease when you were side by side in the kitchen.

You were getting sleepier now, like you always did this time of day. Something about dinner time made you want to cozy up, Sylus noticed. Not that he objected, of course. Having you close by always made things better.

So he didn't think anything of it when you slipped away for a moment. When the clock hit six, your games were usually over, or at least limited to throwing some food at him.

He should have expected it, though, when a ruby smacked his back, right in the middle. Bullseye. Sylus turned slowly, deliberately, eyes narrowed as they landed on you, completely frozen and wide-eyed.

Then, you ran. A mad dash down the hall, a mischievous trail of giggles left in your wake.

Sylus cocked his brow, lips just barely curling up, body immediately in pursuit.

He caught up to you quickly, of course, long legs making longer strides that you could hardly compete with. Speeding up for just a moment, he let his arms curl around you, dragging both of you down to the floor.

Sylus landed first, directing you to collide with his chest. You wriggled against him, laughing when he flipped you over, face hovering just inches above yours.

You were well and truly trapped. Caged beneath his massive body. A nice cage, you begrudgingly admitted.

"Care to explain this little game of yours, sweetie?" Sylus tilted his head.

You grinned. "I was just trying to add to your hoard," you said innocently.

"My… hoard," Sylus repeated. "Are those rubies not from my safes anyway?"

"They are." You nodded. "But now I'm giving them to you. That makes them better."

Sylus chuckled despite himself. "I can't argue with that logic," he conceded. "Why are you giving me such gifts, though, sweetie?"

You curled your arms around his neck, pulling him closer until his chest brushed your own. Out of the corner of your eye, you watched his forearms flex on either side of you, not quite straining. Not yet.

You smiled, saccharine and sweet. "It's dragon appreciation day," you murmured. "I want to show my favorite dragon just how much I love him."

"Oh, beloved…" Sylus breathed, words caught in his throat as his heart threatened to explode in his chest. He let his forehead drop against yours, breath shuddering against your lips.

You stayed like that for a moment, wrapped up in each other. Soon, though, Sylus raised his head slowly, brows furrowing.

"Your favorite dragon," he echoed slowly. "Do you know other dragons?"

You laughed. "Are you jealous?"

"No." His lips jutted out for a moment before he buried his face in the crook of your neck, nuzzling into you. "I just want to make sure you know one thing."

Scratching at the back of his neck, you hummed. "And what is that?"

Sylus rose abruptly, lifting you up into his arms. "You're mine," he murmured, low and reverent. Not a threat, not a claim, but a vow. "I'm your dragon, and you're treasure." He bit softly at your cheek, licking at it to soothe the sting. "So let's return to our nest, yeah?"
