It’s still January 7th for me, so I thought I’d share a fic (and little something else) I made for this anniversary.
Hope you enjoy reading it and celebrating this show’s anniversary with me! I can’t believe it’s already been three years since we first met Miri, Rei, and Kazuki!
Y'all I’ve been dealing with massive writer’s block for the past 6 months. But it’s been more than just writer’s block. It’s been a creative block that’s drained my energy to want to chip at my pile of WIPs, reading list, watch list, etc.
That being said, guess who just broke their creative block and managed to bang out most of the work for a stupid zine idea we had in a week? ME!!!
It’s literally so dumb, but I had so much fun making it and I hope others will enjoy it too. If all goes according to plan, it’ll be released in 2ish weeks, on January 17th.
Hope I can continue to foster this creative energy/momentum throughout the rest of the year!

I haven’t really talked much about it, but I’ve been dealing with major writer’s block since the summer.
Not a lot has changed (in terms of the circumstances that led to my current block), but hopefully the start of a new year will help me break out of it. And with that, maybe being a little more consistent in sharing my works here (hence, this fun post).
Regardless, thank you to anyone who has read/supported my works in 2025! Here’s to 2026 and all the random fics I hope to crank out this year!

Ending the year right, new information was revealed during the final performance of Musical Spy x Family in Aichi!
This is now reflected in the poster released alongside this announcement, with the clock tower from the Doggy Crisis Arc on the left while the Princess Lorelei is featured on the right. Additionally, the proposed structure from these announcements describe Act 1 as adapting Doggy Crisis while Act 2 will adapt Cruise Adventure.
Initial casting was also revealed with this announcement. Win Morisaki and Kento Kinouchi will both be reprising/sharing the role of Loid Forger/Agent Twilight. And the lovely Fuka Yuzuki will return to the role of Yor Forger/Thorn Princess. She will be joined by Kiho Maaya, who will also play the role of Yor.
Likewise, Manato Asaka will be returning to the role of Sylvia Sherwood/Handler. But, for the first time, Musical Spy x Family 2 will extend the double cast system to Handler. Joining Asaka in bringing to life Sylvia Sherwood is Haruka Manase.
Four additional main cast members were revealed during this announcement:
Tōru Isono as Keith Kepler
Hitomi Arisa as Olka Gretcher
Kazuya Naraki as Zeb (who returns to Musical SxF after playing Dominic during the show's 2023 run)
Keigo Yoshino as Matthew McMahon
As with the 2025 restaging, another search will take place to find the actresses who will bring Anya Forger to life. Other returning main cast members have yet to be announced, such as for the roles of Yuri Briar and Franky Franklin, potentially due to the smaller roles these characters play in the two featured arcs.
Last bit of info, I promise. The exact stops/dates were released and is as follows:
Sept. 2026 - (previews) Saitama at Westa Kawagoe Main Hall
Sept. - Oct. 2026 - (official premiere) Tokyo at Tatemono Brillia Hall
Nov. 2026 - Fukuoka at Hakataza Theatre
Dec. 2026 - Hyogo at Hyogo Performing Arts Center KOBELCO Grand Hall
Dec. 2026 - Aichi at Misonoza Theatre
Dec. 2026 - Yamagata at Yamagin Kenmin (Prefectural) Hall
I can't believe Musical Spy x Family's 2025 restaging has already come to a close. It seemed to fly by again. But with its closure comes an equally exciting next chapter for this production in Musical Spy x Family 2.
I'm super interested in the pairing of these two arcs together. Without a doubt, Musical Spy x Family 2 will be filled with plenty of action. With that, I really hope Eri will return as Yor's action double, especially since we get to see Thorn Princess shine during the Cruise Adventure Arc.
While I'm not gonna complain about either of these arcs being adapted, I am also intrigued in what's being adapted to the stage since the handful of arcs between Doggy Crisis and Cruise Adventure bring the focus more to Operation Strix, Eden Academy, and the Desmonds (not to say none of these are brought up in or affected by either arc). Will also be curious to see if a bridge between the two events/acts will be included or each act will exist more as a stand-alone adventure.

there’s something so fucking ghoulish about using ai to dub banana fish specifically. it’s an explicitly queer story about abuse and war and sexual exploitation and the richest company on planet earth can’t even spare the money to properly adapt and dub it to give it the respect it deserves.
it’s not at all surprising obviously, but it is just so fucking depressing

I had no idea a cast recording released or was even in the works (and for both Team US and Team UK). This show was my first time watching a 2.5D stageplay in person, so it holds a really special place in my heart (even though I’ve yet to actually watch/read Sailor Moon). Hearing these songs again brought back memories of that night, even though it wasn’t that long ago.
It might seem silly, but watching Sailor Moon: The Super Live and just being in that space was such a profound experience. I walked out of that show with so many thoughts on what exactly 2.5D meant (or could mean) and so grateful for the opportunity to watch this show in an audience full of Sailor Moon fans, who were so vocal about their love for each of the Sailor Guardians. Still considering writing another post about my experience, but literally, being in that audience was like nothing I’d ever experienced before in the theatre. Going into/leaving this show as a theatre artist and general fan of 2.5D stageplays left me with so many things to admire and ponder about. Maybe a little dramatic, but seriously a life-changing night for me.
First, RV There Yet, then LEGO Party!. Can’t wait to see what they play next!
Absolutely love how so many of the bits/dynamics are still there: Dan’s “They used to call me the Drift King back in college,” Brian and Nogla fighting in the background, Brian being bullied by the other lads, Brian trying to play the game properly while Kevin and Nogla create their own chaos (together and individually).
And I feel like there’s already so many iconic moments from Dan destroying the RV right as they pull into a repair station to Kevin somehow being the best driver and Nogla’s quest for a McFlurry in RV There Yet. And in LEGO Party!, when Dan asks Kevin if he wants to play Legos in the other room to Brian’s “say something when you’re mugging me” (and Kevin’s subsequent, “Okay, I’m mugging you”).
I remember watching their streams 5 years ago, which is crazy to think it’s already been that long. And yes, I know they’ve played sporadically throughout the years, but I am loving this latest slew of collabs. Would love to see Jacksepticeye rejoin at some point, but know he’s a busy guy. I’m not complaining though, with 4 out of 5 lads back.

Also, here’s a link to the first part if you haven’t come across it. Tumblr keeps flagging it as mature, so I don’t know how that effects visibility. I genuinely don’t know why. My guess is because there’s a couple photos of Thorn Princess during her introduction (and there’s a couple of ensemble members lying on the ground in red light - apparently that’s “too mature” for Tumblr’s guidelines?!)

First off, here’s portraits of the four new main cast members: Kento Kinouchi, Sora Kazuki, Sion Yoshitaka, and Shogo Suzuki
Next, some adorable Anya photos. The role of Anya is shared by four amazing actresses: Rana Izutani, Nonoka Murakata, Mio Nishiyama, and Mirei Tsukino.

I found less than the ‘23/original run, but enough to require 2 posts, which is still a positive. Will keep an eye out for any new photos as Musical Spy x Family continues on to Osaka, Fukuoka, Yamagata, Shizuoka, and Aichi.
What a joy it is to see both new and returning actors in costume and in action, on-stage!
