caught in the act !
rin itoshi getting a partner was never on anybody of the itoshi household’s bingo card but here he was, the youngest of the family with a loving partner whom he cherishes and adores.
it didn’t take long for him to fall in love with you, even less to introduce you to his family. he knew they would like—no, love you. because how could they not? you’re you and you’re perfect. even if they didn’t, rin wouldn’t let you go.
you were welcomed into the house immediately and quickly became a permanent fixture in the house, the previously dull and boring days became splashed with colour—your colour. rin’s mother adored you first, she always steals you away from rin when he brings you over maybe to help out in the kitchen or discuss the newest episode of her favourite show with you.
rin’s father loved you next. you were just the sweetest kid ever and seeing you with rin reminded him of his childhood days when he was young and in love with his wife.
the last member of the family left to tell was sae, but he’s almost always out and about flying across continents playing matches. the only time you’d ever seen him was on tv.
until tonight, sae had gotten holidays. a temporary reprieve from his everyday hustle and he flew to visit his family. he didn’t like japan, but he figured a good son would visit his parents every once in a while.
that’s where he met you, rin’s partner. he didn’t feel much in terms of you but he knew, rin was happy, and so were his parents and that’s all that mattered to him. if rin liked you, he was sure you were the most sweetest thing in the universe.
after dinner when everybody was cleaning up, you and rin had snuck away to his room. sae had noticed, nothing goes unnoticed by his observant gaze but he didn’t stop you two, not his business.
but it soon became his business when his mom told him to bring rin down for a family photo because ‘it had been so long since they had took one’. bullshit, really, why take new pictures? the family didn’t change.
but he still walked upstairs, hands shoved into his pockets. he bounded down the hallway until he reached rin’s room where he found the door slightly ajar. he debated whether he should knock or just barge in, he settled on the latter.
which he frankly shouldn’t have.
because as soon as he did, he was met with the sight of you and rin on the bed, making out. rin’s hands were wrapped around your waist and yours were thrown loosely around his neck, both of you attached at the hip, clothes slightly askew and faces flushed like you two had been going at it for a while now.
luckily, rin pulled away once he heard the door open and saw sae’s very disgusted face, muttering a quick ‘shit!’ rin hopped off the bed and fixed his clothes up. you panicked and threw a blanket over yourself.
“learn to close the damn door.” sae deadpanned from outside, pinching the bridge of his nose. he had closed the door himself, but it was soon opened by rin again. sae was now very acutely aware that his little brother was still just a kid, a very dumb one at that.
“sorry..” rin shifted from foot to foot, gaze downcast. “right.” sae exhaled, already feeling 20 years go off his lifespan at how careless his younger brother truly was.
“come down, mom wants a picture.” sae turned around, beginning to walk ahead but paused after a few steps. “and from next time,” he began, “keep the door locked. nobody wants to see you shove your tongues down eachother’s throats.” he resumed walking.
rin blushed furiously at his brother’s bluntness, running a hand over his face and through his hair. “yeah, yeah. i said i’m sorry.”
safe to say, the family picture featured a very flustered rin and a very tired sae. rin better keep the door locked next year!
