@lumpy-veev wrote some little scenes exploring the idea of Yi’s lack of self preservation in the Don’t Worry ‘Bout It AU and I could not help myself. The dialogue for the comics was written by them. They posited him going out and nearly dying and having a “people still need me to live actually moment.” I think they’d imagined it happening a bit later down the line, but I also really like the idea of it being a bit earlier. idk i can’t decide.
