The song peaked at number one in Belgium and France and became the best-selling single of 2013 in Belgium. The song was performed live at the 2013 NRJ Music Awards, where it featured American rapper will.i.am. The song is also featured on the dancing game Just Dance 2015 for PAL regions and is available as DLC for NTSC regions.
The song and music video refer to the absence of Stromae's father — who had little presence in Stromae's life even before being killed in the 1994 Tutsi Genocide in Rwanda — and to Stromae's fear of being unable to be an effective father with no memory of ever having a father of his own. As of August 2023, the video has received over 1 billion views on Youtube. It was the most viewed French-speaking song on Youtube until 2023, when it was passed by Indila's song "Dernière danse".

His performance in Boogie Nights (1997) brought him renewed critical attention, earning the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture, with nominations for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor. Melba Moore is an American singer and actress. In 1967, she began her performing career in the original cast of the musical Hair. In addition to her 1970 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Lutiebelle in Purlie, Moore's music career brought additional accolades. She was nominated for three Grammy Awards. She was the 2012 Recipient of the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival Theatre Legend Award. She was inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame on October 4, 2015, in Detroit. On August 10, 2023, Moore received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame within the Live Theatre/Live Performance category.
All Dogs Go to Heaven is a 1989 animated film directed by Don Bluth. Set in New Orleans in 1939, it tells the story of Charlie B. Barkin, a German Shepherd who is murdered by his business partner Carface Caruthers. Despite not having done any good lifetime deeds Charlie is automatically sent to Heaven. He is then greeted by Annabelle who explains to him that because dogs are inherently good and loyal, all dogs go to Heaven and are entitled to paradise. Taking advantage of her kindness, Charlie cheats death by stealing a pocket watch representing his life and winding it back. When Charlie returns to Earth, he and his friend Itchy plots revenge on Carface in the form of a rivaling business. They soon discover that Carface's success has been from a kidnapped young orphan girl named Anne-Marie (voiced by Judith Barsi in her final film role before her tragic murder in 1988) for her ability to talk to animals, which proves helpful when betting on races. Intending to use her for his own gain as Carface did, he instead befriends her and learns an important lesson about kindness, friendship and love.
On its cinema release, it competed directly with Walt Disney's The Little Mermaid, released on the same day. On its theatrical release, the film was only moderately successful as its performance fell short of the studio's previous box-office successes, grossing $27 million in North America alone, just over half of what An American Tail and The Land Before Time each took. This would be Bluth's final box office hit until Anastasia was released eight years later in 1997, which ended up becoming his highest-grossing film. All Dogs Go to Heaven however was successful on home video, becoming one of the biggest-selling VHS releases ever.
