the duo of all time
I don't love that every time a famous artist turns out to be a fucking disgusting piece of trash loser evil shitstain that everyone always scrambles to say WELL THEIR ART WAS ALWAYS MID AND BAD ANYWAY. like dude just reckon with the fact you can't judge someone's moral fiber based on the art they make or the clothes they wear or the way they speak or fucking anything anything at all
said it before and i'll say it again: this behavior is victim blaming under the thinnest coat of weakass paint
it's "I saw it coming a mile away, why didn't you?"
Sometimes bad people make good art, sometimes very good people make absolutely dogshit art. In order to live in the world, we have to learn to reconcile those things.
There is no magic that makes a good artist a good person, just the same as there is no piece of art so good that it can turn a person from an abuser to an angel. Plenty of Nazis grew up shouting along to Rage Against The Machine, and some of the kindest people you may ever meet can have been raised on conservative talk radio and megachurch media. People are complicated.
i canโt stand โitโs not that deepโ attitudes like even if it really really isnโt that deep just PLAY WITH ME. just fucking PLAY. have a meaningless but deep analytical conversation with me. just like think about shit for fun. does anyone else like to think about stuff for fun. itโs so lonely
my favorite genre of fictional character is like "i am terrifying to almost everyone, i'm very good at killing, i can endure anything, i've become exceptionally good at playing into my reputation, and if you try to give me positive social interaction i will react with confusion and cower in a corner like an abused animal. and i may try to shoot you. but there is also a chance i may imprint on you like a feral dog receiving its first loving touch! good luck."
Candlenights is still upon us do NOT be fooled!! Here's my piece for 2025's candlenights gift exchange! this was for @fungimoth for the @the-candlenights-zone exchange!
recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.
It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

fuck my gay life. pharmacist asked for my ID when I was picking up my testosterone and instead of my driverโs license, I accidentally grabbed the fool tarot card I keep behind it in my phone case and went to hand that to her
from what we can tell "full movie online free" seems to be some kind of 21st century prayer

Goin' up to a girl like "She doesn't want to talk to me right now. She doesn't want to- She doe- She doesn't want to talk to me right no- That's the bartender, but I think I've had enough for toni- I can't leave, the party's just getting started!"
If this is your first round on the 'US uses blatantly false evidence as an excuse to attack a country for purely selfish reasons' track, then let me save you a lot of future embarrassment:
You don't need to try to become a public expert on Venezuela or Maduro based on reading half the Wikipedia page or scrolling the Bluesky tags. You don't need to state any opinion on the former political situation of Venezuela at all. It's okay for now to admit that you know fuck all about it, or to just not speak on it.
An opinion like 'The US shouldn't use blatantly false evidence as an excuse to attack a country for purely selfish reasons' is a full opinion that doesn't require knowing exactly what was up in the country being attacked.
Don't fall for the temptation of 'the enemy of my enemy must be a friend, so I'm gonna get on their hill and write minimally-informed stuff about how great they are'. Trust me, you're gonna feel very silly about that later.
