hi echo \o/ I am thinking about Dara and Guizo friendship I am thinking about Guizo being honest with Dara and Dara trusting Guizo to be honest with her… like the moment where he brushes her off in front of the others when she asks if he needs healing but then when she asks via the mindlink he basically says everything hurts… and then in the last episode when Lírio is telling Dara that Xande’s okay and he’ll be coming soon she just looks over to Guizo for confirmation and he shakes his head…
such a fun dynamic to me!! also unrelated but I like it: shoutout to Dara for jumpscaring Guizo via the mindlink right as he’s about to try and sneak into somewhere dangerous pfft
hi wsd!!! THEY’RE SO IMPORTANT. they trust each other so much. I appreciate them a lot. I also really like the bit in episode 4 after they fight off the alien inside the petrol station where Xande pushes Guizo to check on Dara instead of doing it himself because he thinks she’ll be more receptive to him, and she tells him about being Chosen. they’re important to me…
and for more on the silly side: yeah <3 what also comes to mind for me is that bit in SDOL 2 where he’s disguised and pretending to be her dad and calls her Darinha and she goes “never do that again!” “it’s just for now-” “after this. never again!” “never again? :(” “never again.” they’re so sillies

I don’t know if anyone’s told you or you’ve seen it around already, but the reason Dara went missing for so long was because Carol had to take a trip for work I believe? basically Carol couldn’t be there for those episodes so Cellbit tried to work around it without outright killing her. It’s unfortunate though ): I wish we got more with her…
yeah wybie told me! which makes sense as an out-of-world explanation. and i suppose with that it’s the best they could do without just straight-up killing her which would definitely have been worse
one day we will get those watchparties back on the road so i can rewatch it all with you. trust

oh, also, minor additions to the cheat sheet stuff- both skizz and impulse on occasion say "that's for true" (though skizz uses that phrase much more frequently) as a like. "i'm telling you"/"for real" type thing

hi. writing cheat sheet things
Skizz (i don’t have the time or energy right now, but will add the proper links in a later ask. when im less shy and scared of sending a non-anon ask)
there will also be some impulse here because they are a package deal
- words/phrases
- exclamations
- “poopy!” (when something goes wrong- presumably because he’s technically pg and can’t say “shit”, but also to be silly)
- assorted silly noises (“wAUoh” (especially when jumping around, dodging, weaving) “...mmm[indescribable silly noise here]” like a sort of… punctuation? slows down -> speeds up. like he’s trying to sneak up/pounce on something. as i believe zedaph described it, sounds a bit like a motorcycle revving)
- “yEAH BABY” (kind of. weird voice here? unsure how to explain— goes kinda growly in a silly way. note he says “what’s up!” in the same way, often paired with the former phrase)
- kind of gremlin-like laugh (“nyeheheh!” or “hyeheh!”)
- honestly so many gremlin noises
- also normal laugh when he’s being less silly. i cannot type this laugh out (add links in a later ask)
- swears a lot, but not at all in PG situations and only minorly in semi-pg situations (see: games with higher age ratings, imp and skizz podcast). he’s never really been in a situation content-wise where he can fully abandon the pg-ness, but from what he’s said on occasion, can safely assume that he swears very frequently
- his favorite swear words seem to be “bitch”/”son of a bitch”
- in general shares a lot of mannerisms with impulse– especially similar laughs, humor, and ways of addressing people (“buddy”, “dude”, “man”, “brother” etc.)
- he is Constantly holding himself back from making very much non-pg jokes
- flirts with his friends soooo much. how can one middle-aged man with a wife and children be so oddly homoerotic when playing minecraft
- very, VERY good mimic. amazing at voice impressions (cub, doc (link clips later)) and also impressions of… other things (see phasmo group meowing time)
- on occasion he and impulse will meow at each other. not frequently. but it has happened more than once (this is not important for writing. but it is to me)
- silly but knows when it’s not the time to be; very “psychbrained” to quote a friend; i.e., very into psychology and thinks a lot about the world. quote “everything is in metaphors for him” (xisuma i&s podcast)
- worries about crossing people’s boundaries
- self-proclaimed fear of “severe insignificance”, see, “grand scheme of things” type deal. (imp and skizz podcast “fears”)
- doesn’t like giving people second chances if they’ve fucked up bad; cuts them out of his life, worries that he shouldn’t’ve (“we have flaws?!” imp and skizz podcast)
- skizz’s fear/stress/danger responses.
- jumpscares/sillier situations (especially videogames) he is sooooooo Flight. he will scream and run away
- in more avoidable dangers… will literally just. avoid them. walk AROUND the lava pool.
- (this one’s for you authors who write fics where respawn doesn’t exist) in things he’s actually afraid of, more so than just a “danger” type fear, will freeze up (see… imp and skizz podcast either “tough mudder” or “fears”, don't remember)
- in general in serious situations, prioritizes others over himself (imp and skizz podcast “are you imprinting?” car crash story and various “power of calm” stories (stabbing victim, car accident))
- i'm not sure, but in serious situations seems to be the type to process things after the danger is gone (educated guess from the “prioritizing others over himself”)
- doesn’t seem like it at times, but actually very logical. yes, he can be reckless, impulsive, not think things through, but when it’s important will take the time to figure things out
- very fidgety. poker chips, drumsticks, rubik's cube. stims (thank you bug bugscouts for this one)
- comes up with silly songs on occasion (thinking towards the “pooka poppers, pooka poppers, wherever he goes… he animates!”)
- also goes into random, actual songs on occasion (he was a theater kid (later link to the original mangrove/cherry timelapse + SBE that the "happy together" anim. was from))
- v creative– especially creative solutions
- likes to know how things work. take it apart and put it back together. at least as a child, according to the man himself on… one of the podcast episodes.
- likes giving things unnecessarily long names (especially his dogs. see kevin bubbles malone refrigerator jimmy madeye dugan (espacito appleseed) and… the other one. which i don’t even remember. imp and skizz podcast episode “pet ownership”)
- either always eating something (irl stream snacks) or forgetting to eat (in-game)
- likes bullying impulse (gets bullied back). they tease each other and are very silly. lots of banter, but also great at reading each other. they giggle at each others’ dumb jokes. also the formatting for these is odd and idk how to fix it, sorry
- (i’m using only podcast ep. 100 examples because it’s funny. to me. also i'm offfline and writing this in google docs and that's the only thing i have downloaded for reference)
- Impulse: “-but, over the course of this podcast, like… getting more and more people on-”
Skizz: (sounds of aluminum being crunched) (throws can at Impulse)
Impulse: “Would you stop?”
Skizz: “Drink your beer.”
Impulse (mumbling): “...Just threw your beer at me…” (louder) “Watch this.” (throws the can that Skizz threw at him somewhere off-camera) “Nailed it.”
Skizz, at almost exactly the same time: “You missed it!”
Impulse: “Nailed it. Would you shut up that was off-camera they didn’t need to know.”
Skizz: (giggling) “You made it!”
Impulse: (crosstalk) “You could’ve had- perfect shot every time-”
Skizz: “Swish! Sorry I, carry on-”
Impulse: (crosstalk) (sounding very disappointed and somehow speaking in lowercase) “wow. …what was i saying? uh-”
Skizz: (giggling)
Impulse: (also giggling)
- Skizz: “So if we’re always learning…”
(pause)
Skizz: “What did we learn, about-” (slight chuckle) “a… nine-point-two beer?”
Impulse: “...Oh,,, it just kicked in! Yeah, I- I, just, I just started to-” (crosstalk)
Skizz: (crosstalk) “...he’s like halfway through it 😐”
Impulse: (crosstalk) “I just started to feel the buzz.”
Skizz: “Slam it.” (very quietly) “Do it.”
Impulse: (sigh that is so disappointed and so tired) “How much time…?”
Skizz: “Slam it. Slam it!” (<- silly yell go here)
Impulse: “😐alright.”
Skizz: “He’s gonna slam it.”
Impulse: “😐You guys ab-” (crosstalk)
Skizz: (crosstalk) “Do it.”
Impulse: (crosstalk) “-out to experience a whole new side of-” (crosstalk) (starts drinking the rest of his beer)
Skizz: (crosstalk) (kinda dismissive tone) “No, you’re not.”
(watches impulse for a few seconds)
(turns to speak into mic- he’s looking at the camera and you can hear the grin in his voice) “he’s done it(?) he just(?) gives in to peer pressure, he gives in, man :3”
