I’m on day four of no electricity thanks to Hurricane Helene: Revenge of the Gulf (Special Extended Edition), but I went in search of WiFi to bring you my contribution to Hamiathe’s Gift Exchange! AO3 user cottonmycandy asked for a glimpse of Irene and Eugenides in court, sharing a surreptitious moment of intimacy (Gen, as always, is less subtle). I titled it “Only to Those With Eyes to See,” because Phresine certainly caught this look, even if nobody else did.
I tried adding certain Symbolic Elements (and removing other elements such as A Hand) to match the characters and the theme of the series more.
I started working on this more than 2 years ago and then stopped because I couldn’t get it right, and also didn’t feel like drawing the patterns on the clothes haha 😆
I remembered about it during my vacation and decided to finish it quickly. I’m not 100% satisfied with it but at least it’s finished now! ☺️🌸
Got Return of the Thief for Christmas, immediately cracked it open to that lovely blank page between the intro and the first book of Pheris and did this on that page
