To me eitaku are soulmates but not in the cute fluffy way that trope is seen. They’re soulmates in the sense one cannot exist without the other. Whether that be tearing each other apart, Takumi ruining Eito, Eito ruining Takumi, one sided affection, false affection, or genuine affection given by both, even the routes where they come together into something healthy. They are a curse that neither can live without.

And Cus ugh listen. Takumi, scruffy and unkempt. Been alone for years now trying to survive this apocalyptic war. And the idea he meets eito again like this, first person hes seen in forever, in years who somehow has survived all this time too... Takumi would be so mad AND relieved that its eito and first thing he wants to do is take out his problems on eito and blame him for why this happened, saying it's Eito who made him doubt trusting kamhyun. Blame him for her death. Even tho he knows its his own choice that got them there. But he cant help it when eito is his perfect punching bag... If he isnt blaming himself hes blaming Eito. Eito who he can use to finally make himself feel better. And then confide in and refuse to let go because he doesnt want to be alone again.
