I've grumped in the past about how "narrative", "story-focused", etc. are for all intents and purposes meaningless marketing buzzwords in the context of tabletop RPGs, but it is very funny how these terms have popularly been conflated with merely departing from the traditional party-based challenge framework, to the extent that much of the time what "narrative" means in practice is "supports PvP".

...How does an RPG even not support PvP? The only ways I can think of is either doing the whole "the players get to roll all the dice and the gm gets to sit there and seethe" thing or doing the JPRG/D&D4e Thing of scaling player and non-player Numbers so differently that the math just gives up if a player takes a swing at another player.

That it's technically possible to do a particular thing within the framework of a particular game doesn't necessarily mean that game meaningfully supports that thing. The vast majority of tabletop RPGs "support" PvP play in the same sense that Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition "supports" running scenarios based on Regency romance literature – which is to say, you can theoretically construct a game-mechanical model of Fitzwilliam Darcy in D&D5E, but that model would have nothing worthwhile to say about him unless you're doing the version of the story where he fights zombies.

So I recognize that it appealed to a fairly niche subculture but I haven’t heard a word about that Domina Magica ttrpg actually being made available.  I missed the kickstarter, so my investment is purely emotional, but did it turn out to be another kickstarter scam?

there is a space missing among the Greyhawk deities.  I wanna make a goddess of rebirth, self-forgiveness, and second chances.  A goddess of starting over and becoming better and reinventing oneself.  Followed by those who seek to improve themselves, those who want to break the cycles they’re stuck in, and those who simply feel like they need a fresh start somewhere.  A deity whose dogma says that nothing is set in stone and everyone can become something new, if they just try to be.

She’d stand in opposition to deities like Istus, who teach that fate is preordained and immutable, and likely be friendly towards deities like Trithereon, a god of freedom and choice.

Possible symbols would include a rising sun [tomorrow’s a new day], flowers growing over a skull [life from death/hope from despair/etc], and a forked road leading into the horizon.

But can I get away with calling her Taru?
