Types of Chainmail Rings:

Chainmail rings by type: Green framed: Those rings have been used in medieval Europe. Yet butted rings are only found in non-live-protecting context - for example decorative elements as brass fringes at the hem of chainmail garments. Orange: Clamp rivets were rather used in India. Yellow rings: They are solid rings. Solid rings were used from Roman times to Late Medieval times in Europe. Yet without closer examination, it is hard to tell them apart.
