So I got a used ipad right? And i bought a Meko pencil (cause Ive been using them for years for their stylus’s and they haven’t steered me wrong yet), and I took that opportunity to continue the immediate drawing I was working on when I switched over which was this silly Zoey palette sketch!
Its nowhere near finished but I love this too much not to post atm
The difference is genuinely insane (but also so is my audacity, why did I decide to start drawing her an intricate, Hawksbill Sea Turtle inspired sweater?! I blame GTC Streamer Zoey on twitter. I imagine her girls got her the sweater custom made [Or Mira and Rumi worked together to make it by hand from ethically sourced materials, like ocean cleanup initiatives] for her birthday)

Okay doing an analysis on what I think Mira and Zoey might’ve thought Rumi’s additions to Golden meant during the writing process pre-movie, as well as what I think Rumi might’ve told them it meant:
I think she gave them half truths
Like its still the truth shes just lying by omission. Because like the “put these patterns all in the past now, and finally live like the girl they all see”? Do you think she told them she didn’t want to be a hunter? Rumi always did say it was her duty, never anything more or less than that. She has emotional attachments to it sure, but I bet they’re all negative. I mean her whole life has been shadowed by the fact that she’s a half demon, and her mom’s death was caused by the demon hunting she did, and Celine’s line for better or for worse was shadowed by the same. And unlike for Mira and Zoey, this wasn’t the immensely cool escape for Rumi like it was for them? This is all Rumi has ever known? But for Mira and Zoey it’s something WAY better than the lives they had before. Like they get to be cool super heroes saving the world, getting away from their broken families and bullies and awful experiences. For Rumi, its a sacred duty she’s had to carry since she learned the meaning of the words.
Like even aside from the half demon thing that Mira and Zoey very much do not know about, it makes Rumi so fucking TIRED. I know the girls see that too. I bet you they’ve had talks about it, how tired it makes them. I bet they assumed all Rumi’s vague “it’s important we get the Golden Honmoon as soon as possible” without any real explanation as to why emotionally was just an expression of her duty, of the genuine life-saving importance the Golden Honmoon would bring to the world, but also I bet you they were thinking she was tired.
I’ve seen people point out that Rumi running away after losing her voice and fucking up that show for the first Golden live, very likely wasn’t the first time Rumi ran away like that. That the girls were waiting for her down in the penthouse from where she was hiding up on the roof.
I wonder how many times Rumi has run off to have a panic attack and the girls just waited nearby until she was ready to receive care and comfort from them; I bet you it was a lot. I’m the same age as Rumi, and I can promise you that you can’t bottle it all up perfectly for 24 years with ZERO leaks, ZERO mental issues, ZERO fatigue. That shit COMES for you, and I know it came for Rumi well before the ill-timed Golden release.

Now while Celine would’ve encouraged it, she also would’ve been MEGA SCARED at the same time. Every time Rumi hops on that bike Celine is biting her nails to the quick and badgering Rumi and safety stuff. And she had Rumi do like idk 10 various types of defensive driving courses, anything that would make it safer for her, even with her Honmoon-enhanced defenses, thats her and Miyeong’s little girl (half demon or no).
So the one time Rumi forgoes her helmet because she went to pick Mira up from a really shit day at her private school and forgot an extra, Celine was LIVID. Banned her from riding for a week unless she agreed to take another safety course.
Also no, Mira had NOT known previously that Rumi could ride a motorcycle, so cue Mira being SHELLSHOCKED to see her normally doe-eyed best friend and soon-to-be fellow debut idol of Huntrix, riding up on a motorcycle to pick her up from what was admittedly a really bad day at both home and her stupid private school. And like at first she doesn’t think its Rumi, but she literally parks the bike right in front of her, takes off the helmet, and theres that signature doe-eyed face, looking all concerned at Mira, and Mira is now blushing and starting to become a giggly mess cause honestly? Rumi on a motorcycle? Hot, and she’s already got a crush so. But now Rumi’s even more worried cause Mira’s just suddenly giggling insanely and not saying anything, and she pulls Mira in for a hug, and Mira just MELTS. Right into her.
And of course they drive all the way back to Jeju on Rumi’s bike, with Mira wearing Rumi’s helmet cause she forgot to get an extra.

Rumi’s doing one of those redbull dirtbike runs, on the most rugged tracks just absolutely BELTING TF outta How Its Done, or whatever their debut tracks are.
Or even like Pre-Debut she’s doing covers of Sunlight Sister’s songs. And like Ryu Rumi gets an almost cult side following solely from the fact that they wanted to listen to this insanely talented teenager, mic’d up, singing perfect covers while flipping off a dirtbike and back onto it like IT WAS NOTHING. She makes it look easy and people can still tell she’s doing it as shes riding cause theirs still interference you can’t fake, once or twice Rumi has fumbled lyrics, usually during her earlier runs, but theyre so tiny, and she just gets better as time goes on so it may as well not even matter.
Theres decent amount of like people who dedicated real time, effort, and resources into proving that it wasn’t actually Rumi on the bike, or that she was using pre recorded tracks, but Rumi proves them wring every time. Like they literally only prove MORE that its Rumi doing these stunts herself. She even gets a camera that points at HERSELF during this, and people can tell its her thru the mask and the dirt, and can even see her throat, chest, and stomach moving with the singing, as well as with the bikes movements. And she livestreams this too, so theres no faking it, no video editing back in like 2014-2020 that could edit a livestream like that
And yes I think she wouldve started the redbull competitions back in 2014. I think theres a kids division. But Rumi obviously doesn’t get a motorcycle license until shes like 16 or so. Whenever Korea allows for peeps to get licenses

Guys this is actually the best day ever for her because what do you mean her day was literally so ass, and now 1/3rd of her soul is rescuing her for the weekend so she doesn’t have to deal with her shitty parents? And THEYRE DOING IT ON A MOTORCYCLE?! Guys Mira actually cant even remember why her day was bad! Nope! Theres only her, one of her girls, and a whole weekend of calm.
Shes got her Knight in shining motorcycle whisking her away for the world best sleepover (Zoey’s words when they tell her later. Zoey says this and immediately gets a little sad and wishes they could do the same for her, and dw they absolutely do, multiple times, including for Prom)
Also I just wanna point out, THANK YOU FOR ADDING GOOD PARENT CELINE!!! YOU GET IT!! Do I think Celine fucks up? Yes! Do I think she’s hurt Rumi immensely? Also yes! But do I think she meant to? Absolutely not! I think she loves Rumi, and likes her too, which isn’t a given in familial relationships. I just think it falls back ti generational trauma, how Celine herself was taught to fight demons, the immense stress and expectations on both their shoulders, etc etc.

Also like motorcycles are fuckin scary, she surprised HERSELF and Rumi both by saying yes when 10yr old Rumi asked to get a motorcycle. She had to repeat “for the Honmoon” under her breath the entire time Rumi was learning to ride dirt bikes, dual sport bikes, regular motorcycles, etc. literally every style of bike, Rumi was learning it, including of course bicycling. Rumi likes to challenge herself by doing the non motor redbull bike courses too, while singing those.
The entire time Celine is gripping white knuckled onto ANYTHING and muttering “this is for the Honmoon for the Honmoon for the Honmoon”. But of course anytime Rumi lands something spectacular, Celine is right there yelling “YES RUMI YOU’RE KILLING IT” or “shake it off Rumi theres always next time” whenever she doesn’t land something right or misses. She’s at EVERY SINGLE RACE too. Even when they have fights, huge arguments, or just something that breaks them for a while, she still goes, still the first to jump up and cheer, always the first to tell her she did great (even if Rumi didn’t get perfect scores)
Thats her little girl, she’ll damn the whole world before she abandons her (which is canon after all)
Some various bikes that Rumi would ride aside from the first one I showed btw! Courtesy of my dear friend Phoenix who helped me with his vast knowledge of bikes!
The first one is a Kawaksaki 1979 KZ650 cafe racer, which we just headcanon she has for fun. Itd be what she mainly rides through Seoul, likely when she’s living at Huntrix tower. Its a city bike and isn’t built for speed, but she likes it.
The second one is a KTM 2025 125 Enduro R which is her current dirt bike for the aforementioned Redbull races
The third is her first one from when she was just starting out! Its a Suzuki 2014 RMZ 250, and she would’ve loved the hell out of it, as all kids do, and it’d likely be a rusty piece of scrap metal now, but Rumi keeps some of the parts in her bike garage at the tower. Zoey and Mira even made like a silly sculpture out of the plastic bits that were a part of the decals
Keep in mind what I said earlier about Rumi customizing the bikes. I’d say all of these become purple, but she adds Pinks, Reds, Greens, and Blues in Honmoon patterns for Mira and Zoey. And of course the girls start adding stickers on all her bikes and gear (they spray over it with clear, weatherproof car paint dw, the stickers dont get washed off)
And Rumi learned to work on all her bikes too, especially cause Celine didn’t want her to get stranded somewhere because she didn’t know how to fix her bike, so picture Rumi absolutely covered in grease, just coming up the elevator and Mira and Zoey being like “so…?” And Rumi giving her signature awkward autistic smile and being like “yup! All fixed! No more ominous squeaking!” And them just lifting her up in celebration and being like YAYY NOW GO TAKE A SHOWER SO YOU CAN TAKE US ON A RIDE GO GO GO GOOOO

Rumi’s doing one of those redbull dirtbike runs, on the most rugged tracks just absolutely BELTING TF outta How Its Done, or whatever their debut tracks are.
Or even like Pre-Debut she’s doing covers of Sunlight Sister’s songs. And like Ryu Rumi gets an almost cult side following solely from the fact that they wanted to listen to this insanely talented teenager, mic’d up, singing perfect covers while flipping off a dirtbike and back onto it like IT WAS NOTHING. She makes it look easy and people can still tell she’s doing it as shes riding cause theirs still interference you can’t fake, once or twice Rumi has fumbled lyrics, usually during her earlier runs, but theyre so tiny, and she just gets better as time goes on so it may as well not even matter.
Theres decent amount of like people who dedicated real time, effort, and resources into proving that it wasn’t actually Rumi on the bike, or that she was using pre recorded tracks, but Rumi proves them wring every time. Like they literally only prove MORE that its Rumi doing these stunts herself. She even gets a camera that points at HERSELF during this, and people can tell its her thru the mask and the dirt, and can even see her throat, chest, and stomach moving with the singing, as well as with the bikes movements. And she livestreams this too, so theres no faking it, no video editing back in like 2014-2020 that could edit a livestream like that
And yes I think she wouldve started the redbull competitions back in 2014. I think theres a kids division. But Rumi obviously doesn’t get a motorcycle license until shes like 16 or so. Whenever Korea allows for peeps to get licenses

I literally was imagining Mira LOSING it cause the helmet smells so much like Rumi, and you know that even them meeting during childhood doesn’t save Mira from being desperately touch starved, so on top of that she’s CLINGING TO HER CRUSH?!
Guys this is actually the best day ever for her because what do you mean her day was literally so ass, and now 1/3rd of her soul is rescuing her for the weekend so she doesn’t have to deal with her shitty parents? And THEYRE DOING IT ON A MOTORCYCLE?! Guys Mira actually cant even remember why her day was bad! Nope! Theres only her, one of her girls, and a whole weekend of calm.
Shes got her Knight in shining motorcycle whisking her away for the world best sleepover (Zoey’s words when they tell her later. Zoey says this and immediately gets a little sad and wishes they could do the same for her, and dw they absolutely do, multiple times, including for Prom)
Also I just wanna point out, THANK YOU FOR ADDING GOOD PARENT CELINE!!! YOU GET IT!! Do I think Celine fucks up? Yes! Do I think she’s hurt Rumi immensely? Also yes! But do I think she meant to? Absolutely not! I think she loves Rumi, and likes her too, which isn’t a given in familial relationships. I just think it falls back ti generational trauma, how Celine herself was taught to fight demons, the immense stress and expectations on both their shoulders, etc etc.
But let it be known that Celine does love Rumi, thats her little girl, even if their relationship gets strained at times. It happens! What matters is if they work through it
Also like motorcycles are fuckin scary, she surprised HERSELF and Rumi both by saying yes when 10yr old Rumi asked to get a motorcycle. She had to repeat “for the Honmoon” under her breath the entire time Rumi was learning to ride dirt bikes, dual sport bikes, regular motorcycles, etc. literally every style of bike, Rumi was learning it, including of course bicycling. Rumi likes to challenge herself by doing the non motor redbull bike courses too, while singing those.
The entire time Celine is gripping white knuckled onto ANYTHING and muttering “this is for the Honmoon for the Honmoon for the Honmoon”. But of course anytime Rumi lands something spectacular, Celine is right there yelling “YES RUMI YOU’RE KILLING IT” or “shake it off Rumi theres always next time” whenever she doesn’t land something right or misses. She’s at EVERY SINGLE RACE too. Even when they have fights, huge arguments, or just something that breaks them for a while, she still goes, still the first to jump up and cheer, always the first to tell her she did great (even if Rumi didn’t get perfect scores)
Thats her little girl, she’ll damn the whole world before she abandons her (which is canon after all)

So Rumi has that racing jacket right? Well I’ve decided that obviously that means Rumi must know SOMETHING in terms of driving, but only motorcycles. I headcanon she’s a really shit car driver, but somehow a motorcycle is just so easy for her.

Yes she would, are you kidding? That would KILL on the coolness levels needed for Huntrix. I bet she encouraged Rumi’s interest in motorcycles and other types of bikes. Bet she even got Redbull on the line once Rumi was skilled enough and Rumi has done like races and stunts while singing lmfao.
Now while Celine would’ve encouraged it, she also would’ve been MEGA SCARED at the same time. Every time Rumi hops on that bike Celine is biting her nails to the quick and badgering Rumi and safety stuff. And she had Rumi do like idk 10 various types of defensive driving courses, anything that would make it safer for her, even with her Honmoon-enhanced defenses, thats her and Miyeong’s little girl (half demon or no).
So the one time Rumi forgoes her helmet because she went to pick Mira up from a really shit day at her private school and forgot an extra, Celine was LIVID. Banned her from riding for a week unless she agreed to take another safety course.
Also no, Mira had NOT known previously that Rumi could ride a motorcycle, so cue Mira being SHELLSHOCKED to see her normally doe-eyed best friend and soon-to-be fellow debut idol of Huntrix, riding up on a motorcycle to pick her up from what was admittedly a really bad day at both home and her stupid private school. And like at first she doesn’t think its Rumi, but she literally parks the bike right in front of her, takes off the helmet, and theres that signature doe-eyed face, looking all concerned at Mira, and Mira is now blushing and starting to become a giggly mess cause honestly? Rumi on a motorcycle? Hot, and she’s already got a crush so. But now Rumi’s even more worried cause Mira’s just suddenly giggling insanely and not saying anything, and she pulls Mira in for a hug, and Mira just MELTS. Right into her.
And of course they drive all the way back to Jeju on Rumi’s bike, with Mira wearing Rumi’s helmet cause she forgot to get an extra.
