The mythic synth minerval returns with "Lo," a synth exploration of Nothingness--a heavy-duty, high-quality concept reserved for only the most philosophically furrowed of pondering brows. Naturally, music itself is cried from a heavy-duty, high-quality vintage audiotape of blank white construction. This one belongs in a museum. Dubbed 1:1 real-time for maximum nonbeing.
Includes unlimited streaming of Lo

This work is a sound expression of my recent meditations, primarily dealing with the role of nothingness, or non-being, as an integral abstract to what we interpret as being. It’s merely an attempt at consolidating my own many dreams and reflections into a kind of listenable thought-form, a series of dances to the void. Thank you for feeling it move.

With the exception of a handful of mystics, the west has not taken the idea of nothingness as either a vital or a positive element in its philosophizing or theologizing. On the whole, western philosophers have understood nothingness to be directly related to being, insofar as nothingness simply stood for the negating of being, as in Heidegger’s crossed-out being signifying nothingness as negation. Thus it is that Kitarō Nishida’s somewhat simplistic caricature, which views the west as cultures of being and the east as cultures of nothingness, seems, on the whole, accurate. yet, in the west, Meister Eckhart is something of a paradigm for those few who did take nothingness to be an important notion in describing the divine nature, and, in general, it is usually the mystics who come closest to the east in all but eliminating the gap or boundary between creator and creatures, self and others, and being and nothingness.
... the self discovers itself to be a bottomless contradictory identity and, as such, is both individual self and yet a manifestation of the whole of things as nothingness.
- Robert E. Carter, "God and Nothingness"
In what forms does God exist? From one perspective ... God is all negation, whereas that which can be affirmed or grasped is not God ... From this standpoint, God is absolute nothingness. God is not, however, mere nothingness. An immovable unifying activity clearly functions at the base of the establishment of reality, and it is by means of this activity that reality is established ... God is ... the unifier of the universe. The base reality. And because God is no-thing, there is no place where God is not, and no place where God does not function.
- Kitarō Nishida, "Inquiry"
Download includes 3 bonus tracks: "Wind Bema," "Separations Bath," and "Cognate".

Hermit Knight is always a special adventure, between emotions of joy and pain, of a sensitive intensity. Listening to this opus reminds me of those little companions that I loved so much. They are forever in my heart. Forever 🖤 𝕽𝖔𝖓𝖓𝖎𝖊 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕳𝖔𝖗𝖓𝖊𝖉
