Bandcamp’s new guidelines state that music and audio generated “wholly or in substantial part by AI” is not permitted and that it will not allow the use of AI tools to impersonate other artists or styles.

The concept of the Ottawa Centaurs selling Hollander and Rozanov jerseys on the night they're up against the Montreal Canadiens. The second season isn’t even out yet, but it looks like someone in the Cens checked out The Long Game

And all proceeds support Ottawa Pride Hockey, the local inclusive hockey community founded and run by queer and trans individuals.

i hope the anonymous person who sent the "i used to live in your house. i'm drunk in boston and it's the only address i know. happy holidays" postcard is aware that they wrote my favourite poem

Good afternoon "parental controls" should not exist.

lmfao at the people in the notes assuming op must be a child bc of this take. There’s so many layers of disgusting there.

Like, first of all, going “oh you must be a kid” in order to try and insist that OP’s point is invalid? You’re exactly the kind of person that makes kids feel shitty and unsafe, and the kind of person who assumes kids are stupid. You’re the kind of person who cannot treat kids as humans with feelings.

Second of all, what if OP was a minor? Let’s consider that for a moment. In that case, OP is talking from a place of past AND ongoing experience, as someone who is constantly disadvantaged and dehumanized by a greater societal system. This doesn’t make them ‘naive’ who doesn’t know what’s good for them, it means they know what they’re goddamn talking about.

Do I personally think that kids should have unrestricted access to the internet from a young age? No, because this gives people access to abuse them and can easily impact their development.

However, why should parents and parents only have complete control over what a child accesses? Why are you all so unfamiliar to the concept of parental abuse? Our society, which prioritizes and elevates the idea of a nuclear family and actively discourages everything else, makes it so, so fucking easy for parents to abuse and exploit children, and also restrict what information they see and intake? Ignorance is not protection. It is not. It is only an avenue for children to be abused without the knowledge or language to communicate what is happening to them.

Parents misusing parental controls is not a bug in this society, it is a feature.

Just fyi, I'm 24.

it is so fucking bleak that the worst thing most people can think to say about diet culture/restriction/glp-1s for weight loss etc. is that they "don't even work." why is your critique of fatphobia still based in a belief that being fat is a problem in need of fixing

if treating your body as something to be punished and denied had a 100% hit rate of making you drop 100 pounds and keep it off it would not make it any less abhorrent to keep promoting it, it would not make it any less cruel to force on fat kids, it would not make it any more worth it. your argument against disordered eating and the culture that mandates it cannot be founded on a belief that it's not an effective enough way to hate the fat body

I’ve noticed some posts around about how you can’t romanticize your life during a fascist regime and while I deeply sympathize with this sentiment, I want you to try to understand that’s what they want you to believe.

Fascism thrives best in the cesspool of hopelessness. They want us so confused and hopeless that we give in. When you give in, you don’t fight back.

If you wait for life to look good to do the things that bring you joy; life will still be bad - you will just have less joy.

As someone who has struggled with my mental health a lot for the last thirty years, I know this struggle firsthand. And changing this belief system - the one where you spend all of your time expecting bad things so you won’t be surprised when they happen - it’s the hardest work that I have ever done. And I’m not perfect; I still have setbacks. I still experience really real fears about the state of the world and the US, in particular, because that’s where I live.

But I made a vow to myself that I will not let the choices of others ruin my life. When I made that vow, I was thinking of my parents - but it applies to the state of the government right now, too.

There are still flowers in my garden, and ripe tomatoes, and it’s almost pick-your-own apples season, and I have plans with my friends to go to as many cemetery ghost walks as we can find this October.

I still deserve to live. I still deserve to laugh. I still deserve to love. I still deserve to be as happy as I can be.

And you do, too.

Dan Savage.

Im not even normally a gummy eater but I saw these 3d gummy fish and I had to have them in an animal brain way.
