if people keep telling me that “it’s all in the books” as if jacob tierney did nothing more than transcribe rachel reid’s complex shimmering transcendent literary masterwork page by page I’m going to lose it. as if lighting, music, camera angles, character direction, scene pacing, etc involved no thought or artistic judgment whatsoever and a trained monkey could’ve done it as long as rachel reid was there to dictate the monkey’s every move. also rachel reid thought of everything a person could possibly think of or say about these characters and accounted for our every interpretation in advance. even we the audience are merely creations of her brilliant and singular mind. I thought the books were fun for the soapy goofy romance fiction that they are but some of you are making me feel pretty cranky about them!!!!
