Short for “chuunibiyou” (lit. “8th-grade syndrome”) it refers to someone with an 8th grader’s sense for what’s “cool” - most typically manifesting as a fixation with norse mythology or cursed demon swords and the like, but other subtypes of chuuni exist too.

The Kirby series’ propensity for endings like “and then Kirby fights a monster the size of a planet” makes it a typical chuunige (chuuni-game).

my shonen boyfriend is great in bed but you have to wait a while as he poses before the first thrust. sometimes he has to yell, and small objects float up into the air inexplicably as he powers up
