Is it bad that when anyone says the word "author," my brain immediately goes to Ford Pines? I think the hyperfixation has taken over. Lol
Also, I completely understand your theater hyperfixation. What's your favorite play or musical, by any chance?
oh damn dude this ask is old
nah my head still does the same thing when I hear author
my favorite musical is definitely Beetlejuice. I got to see it on broadway a few weeks ago. It was fantastic.
Honorable mention goes to A 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol. So underrated.
this is some of what I’ve been doing during my hiatus….. if you even care… ive mostly made art for the musical we were putting on but I probably shouldn’t post those for privacy reasons. But I can show you the stupid self insert Beetlejuice art I made for me and my friends who competed in our district theater competition with Say My Name :p
daph come back we miss you it's so dark in here
IM SORRY i miss you guys too but deadass got hyperfixated on my high school theater class in september and haven’t been motivated to draw gf since 😭😭 maybe when the semester is over the little guys will return to my head 🤞
soo guess who’s play got cancelled 😁
Rewatching gravity falls
How THE FUCK was Stan painted as the bad guy
FORD WAS AN ENTITLED LITTLE BABY
Yes what Stan did was rash
But maybe that wouldn't have happened
IF STAN'S PARENTS DIDN'T RAISE A LITTLE NARCISSIST
So Ford gets him KICKED OUT
I will forever be on Stan's side
And it makes me mad that Dipper just automatically assumed Stan was a dangerous criminal trying to kill everyone
Me when I'm in a no media literacy competition and demonizing autistic-coded abuse victims competition and my opponent is the Gravity Falls fandom:
Ford did not get Stan kicked out. That was Filbrick. Ford was a child living in an abusive home. To say that it's Ford's fault is a) abuse apologism as it shifts the blame off the abuser and makes excuses for that abuser and b) victim blaming as it shifts the blame onto one of the victims.
Ford is also not an "entitled baby".
FELLAS, IS IT ENTITLED TO *checks notes* WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE?
He had every right to be angry at Stan over the project. If one of my siblings did that to me, I'd probably never speak to them again. Ford did not know it was an accident, and thought it was deliberate sabotage. On top of that, Stan acted like it didn't even matter and wasn't at all apologetic (which would make it seem like it wasn't an accident). And ultimately, it was more about the betrayal than about the school (but college was still a big deal).
And as a poor Jewish kid in the 70s, college was far from a guarantee. The chance Ford lost as result of Stan's actions is a big deal.
"Narcissist"
And there's the ableism this fandom is so well known for. NPD is not "bad person disorder". There is no "bad person disorder". Regardless, wanting to go to college and wanting a good future for yourself isn't narcissism. What Ford wants is just as important as what Stan wants. Ford has intense interests separate from Stan's, which is fine. He wants to pursue those interests, which is fine. Ford having Special Interests/hyperfixations that he wants to pursue is not a moral failing. You're just ableist.
And Dipper thought that because that's what it looked like.
