As a global engineering professional services firm with 150,000 projects active worldwide, WSP is constantly in the thick of solving sustainability problems for business, public-sector, and nonprofit clients. Those range from enabling data centers to reduce emissions, to building sustainable bridges and railways, to helping regions plan the future of their mobility or water management strategies. The company aims to generate more than 50% of its income from “clean-revenue” sources that have a positive environmental impact. Among its most ambitious projects: WSP is helping develop the Champlain Hudson Power Express, which will soon deliver 1,250 megawatts of hydroelectricity, enough to power 1 million homes, from New York to Canada. The company has also restored more than 10,000 acres of natural habitats and helped commission about 3.6 gigawatts of renewable energy in the U.S. Internally, the company is dedicated to diversity and representation, exemplified by its 37.5% female board and the 35% of WSP’s top 500 global leadership positions held by women.
