Please can we know more about Irving and how he got turned into a lycanthrope (if that's what happened) i'm feral
ty for the question! i’m so glad ppl like my weird ginger son 🫶
the irving lore is that he’s an unemployed, insecure middle child of a rich investor family who tried to be assertive Once for the first time in his life and immediately fumbled a luck roll so bad (i got the worst possible roll in the entire game 🥀) that he essentially just died. but then he got resurrected by magical witch blood that turned him temporarily into a fox-guy hybrid (?) so he’s not rlly a werewolf but something similar!
my newest call of cthulhu character who is definitely not surviving the campaign
update: HE SURVIVED!! (technically)
If you’re ever able to post a speed paint I would be so happy
i wish i could but sadly screen recording makes my photoshop lag </3 i’ll def post one if i can find a fix though!!
Ok just stumbled across your art and it so insanely good id love to hear about whst brushes you use!! Plus any advice or things that helped you get your style to where it is today!
sorry for the late reply!! i’ve answered the brushes q here and here—as for advice, tbh i still feel like i don’t have a very concrete style LOL but i’d say my biggest tip is just to pick some works from artists you admire and zoom in to study their style and techniques, then try to emulate them in your own work. also, just closely observing the world in general and taking mental notes of how light behaves and interacts with objects and colours has genuinely been super helpful for me!
and tbh just drawing things you’re passionate about (whether that’s fanart of a show/book/movie or your own characters etc) is the best way i’ve found to stay motivated while also learning! hope this was somewhat helpful ahah <3 thank you sm!!
Your Maxwell piece is absolutely amazing, if you don't mind me asking what brushes did you use?
thank u so much!!
and ofc, I mainly used the same brush i use for most of my art, which is kyle t webster’s ultimate charcoal pencil (plus the default soft brush set to dissolve mode for some areas)! and the clouds were done with a cloud brushset i downloaded ages ago from somewhere i can’t remember OOPS..

Your art is absolutely stunning - so shapely and dynamic, and I adore your use of color! If it’s not too much trouble, could I ask what brush you used in your recent Wicander painting - the noisy, spotty one through your big fills?
thank u sm <3 and i used the ‘oil flat delicate’ brush from kyle t webster’s paintbox set on the dissolve brush mode!
