I've done a tone of shows since last post.
My band Stay Fashionable has started popping off and getting booked a lot. Delta Ondine has been in the process of recording an album.
I got hit by a mail truck on my bicycle.
I replaced my own radiator in my car.
My girlfriend had her knee replaced.
As usual, I've been extra crazy.
I think I finally quit smoking cigarettes and drinking, which sucks because it kind of happened on accident but I feel silly going back to either one.
Did a Wailing Banshees show on Oct 17 I believe and it absolutely slayed
Called out sick halfway through the day today because I puked up part of my lunch.
My stomach hasn't been this bad in years, and I know it's all the stress.
My skin's started breaking out in stress hives on my hands too.
Ive been really aggressive about forcing myself to sleep but it's not really enough.
My fucking cat died on a sunday morning and I had to dig it's grave with a spade and a pickaxe wearing Blake's old Merrill slip on shoes.
Just out there with the wailing kids whacking chunks out of the ground, still in disbelief that of all 3 of the cats currently living with me, my favorite one suddenly died.
We put her in her favorite box and covered her with a shower curtain she loved to swat. We even had a few dried flowers. We took turns throwing ceremonial handfuls of dirt and I filled in the hole.
Later jana's daughter came and make a laid a heart shaped marker out of bricks over the spot.
The state brown shirts invaded my city.
The THP, state police, allied with ICE and invaded Memphis. Other cities too, they're getting more coverage.
They roll in squads of mixed marked cars and unmarked ICE vehicles. They're pulling people over for minor infractions and having them towed for things like no insurance or bad tags.
Nashville was mad we elected Wanda Halbert, a black woman, for Shelby County Clerk so they switched the state plates and refused to issue enough new ones to memphis to create a backlog. THey've also been refusing to pay the rental agreements on the clerk's offices where people get their registrations for their cars.
This made it common for people to ride with paper tags, and the police were semi on strike after having been caught in a major scandal.
It used to be if you got caught without insurance you could just buy some, go to court, and have it dismissed, but they've increased the enforcement.
My kid goes to a majority catholic school, mainly mexicans, and the police have started staking out the bus stop trying to catch their parents.
It's insane.
It sounds insane.
It's so much, all at once, it can't all possibly be true.
I'm not a mechanic, how the fuck did I replace my radiator? I mean I looked up a few youtube videos and my hands are covered in scars now but I've never in my life been good with cars. How did that happen?
I've made more money off music in the past year than I probably have in my whole life.
I spent 2 hours playing Bella Ciao on accordion while two of my friends who were THERE at THE INCIDENT's kid sang the lyrics in the original italian. We were surrounded by conga players and we digressed into improvising a cumbia.
I released a 20 issue season of a sonic fanfic based on a bbs shitpoast.
I puked up my lunch this morning and I'm a bit delirious. I took off work. I have a show Nov 1 with Stay Fashionable. We haven't practiced in months, we just play shows every week.
this is insane.
This all sounds insane.
I don't think I've ever going back to therapy.
I don't think I'm ever getting better.
I really need to buy new drum sticks. and heads. And drums.
