aww but all my PCD is because i'm broke and out of cash =p... Actually while I will miss old and new friends (*hugs twile*) I for one will be happy to be back home. I think also having a budget too helps, thats what I did. I had set 150 aside for spending on con goodies, and once my love and I spent it, we were done. Still have money in savings and still have bill money :3

It's because most people don't know how to think or prioritize things. Hence why I only go to one actual con a year. Along with I always have contact one way or another with the people I see at cons. So it's not like they up and disappear.

I was like "Seriously? does your life suck that bad you get depressed over a ending con?" Thus coming up with similar reasons you came up with "Remember the fun times until next year" because I'm sure someone has a shittier life than one b'awwing over the end of a con.

See, I don't have a lot of money right now, so I didn't go to FC.

Feeling sad because your friends you only see once in awhile is okay sad because you cant act like a twat ? Uh no. Being sad because you visited a friend for a week or more and you go home and miss a loved one are valid but sad because you cant go blow your rent on furry art invalid.
Ive never felt PCD I felt sad when my best friends are missed but The beauty of technology now is i can still talk to or see them if i have too.


I do get supremely pissed off when I see furry X bitch a month or two months after furry con X about how broke they are and they need help. They use the IM broke from AC ill take emergency commissions. UH a real emergency is medical expenses a job loss or a pet needs help. Broke because I pissed away my AC money on booze and porn i dont classify that as an emergency i call that being irresponsible. Uh one learn how much a con truly costs B save EXTRA for it and C if you cant go and have the option not to go DO NOT GO. Unless tickets are bought and your needed dont go. Its simple theres next year. I bought plane tickets months ago to CA ( not FC) i hit a fiscal bump but i cannot get my tickets refunded so I'm going. Unforeseen things can happen but more often then not bad planning bad behavior and a lack of responsibility are why so many cry.

These conventions are by no means small investments. I'm pretty sure depending on location you could easily spend $400+ on transportation. Then hundreds more on rooms and food (variable.) That doesn't include other expenses on commissions and con fees! So you could very easily throw away your entire month's salary by the time the entire event is over. I just watch countless journal about how someone is in an emergency situation since they cannot seem to get to a convention. How is a convention an emergency? Then they go to the convention, come back and beg for donations, while posting up like 10 new pictures that were commissioned. Then they're evicted and unprepared for a car situation due to insufficient funds. People should not be rewarded for acting stupid, which is why I end up infuriated at this activity being promoted time and time again.

I still don't properly understand PCD. I've never really had it. I look back and I'm generally really quite happy and rewarded from such a great time. Meeting new people and seeing old faces is nothing to get depressed about. If the con had a profound impact on your life, the aftermath shouldn't be depressing! There's a convention every month.. so.. irunno... if PCD is such a problem maybe people should go broke trying to go to em' all.

uh my parents pay for nothing. I work in the public sector outside in the sun * GASP* . And i budget for a con Jazz speaks truth when a few weeks before a con furry X cries broke. Than goes to a con anyways to get MOAR broke then comes of FA wanting emergency help. Or offers a slew of emergency commissions that become a massive backlog of art that NEVAR gets finished.

Uh. What? I'm not even talking to you. I'm pretty sure this journal is by jazzwolf. Did he, like, ask you to answer for him or something? Anyway, he's just complaining about something that's not even an issue to him. The vast majority of people he actively watches are all reasonable and responsible people. There haven't been any complaining congoers so far and nobody has been begging for money to get to another con. He's just making a bunch of noise about something just because he knows people will agree with him. It's unnecessary.
