Looking for resources [Substance Painter]

Hello good people
I want to get better and practice my skills at texturing stuff in Substance Painter, but I fear most of the stuff that comes with the software is designed around Hard surface modelling.
I would love to know if anyone here can share with me either Smart Materials or Masks that can be used for creating characters.
I'm looking for things designed for Scaly creatures, so all type of scales and bumps etc...
I'm also open for custom brushes that can be very handy for painting characters.
Heck, if you know a good website offering those for cheap (or even free) I would gladly look it up.
Otherwise I'd likely have to draw each scales by hand or something, that seems tedious at best.
Thank you all.
I feel like my biggest limitation in 3D at the moment is Texturing.
So I want to work on it.

Substance is much more professional for texturing a character. While these program like you said are more for traditional drawing, not texture.
There is a reason Substance is use in the industry and not both the program you mentionned.
And also Photoshop has all the options you just said and more, no wonder it's an industry used program :p
this is pretty good. I have fetched several fur, fleshy and scale materials from this site, and it's all free! I mainly use substance painter for a bunch of VRchat texturing.
Being inventive with 'seemingly unapplicable' materials is also a good thing. for example i used a woodgrain normal to make a claw look more 'marbled' and less solid-colored.
Somehow I went on that website a while ago and never saw the scales materials.
I must have been looking up with my eyes closed lmao
I found about a dozen of them plus a few more that may be useful.
Thanks!
