Needs some help - Blender

Hello good people.
I've been experimenting for quite some time in blender,
mostly with the Shrink-wrap modifier as a way to make better looking bulges for the preds.
But so far, I haven't got any good looking results.
I would love to have the Prey to be practically molded tight under the throat, but I can't seem to figure it out.
The throat always ends up deforming in a weird way I don't like.
I saw it being done occasionally, but I cannot seem to find any tutorial on it.
All the tutorials I find are about using Shrink-wrap as a mean to redo the topology of high poly models or doing clothes
Does anyone here has figured out the secret of amazing bulges?
I assume I've been doing it wrong the whole time.
So far I've only been using the cast modifier because it is the most consistent
However I can only give circular bulge. the other shapes don't seem to work too well.
here's a good reference for what I mean.

Maybe, if the process could work the same way I do, but in reverse, then you can try just using a high resolution softbody physics, with lots of collision quality steps... I don't think shrinkwrap alone would cut it... Tho if you do figure out a way, do share, I'd love to know
Also if you need help or wanna talk about ideas, just hit me up on discord, I think I have ya added ^^
