Hey, so I lost my job recently, and I need to take some time to find a new one, and sort some things out in my life. My snail’s pace uploads will be even slower as a result, and I may stop outright for a while. I have some actually useful contributions to society I can make with my writing, so maybe I’ll give that a try. This is something new I’m going to try. I’m going to first give a summary of what all I’ve been doing as far as writing goes, then let you all decide on what I post next.

I’ve written several soft chapters (most of the meat and substance without full exposition) for my first book. It’s a fairly unique premise, but has some similarities to The Expanse and European history. A select few will, assuming I keep my pace, receive a rough draft of my work to critique in the latter half of December. Once I make some proposed edits, and add in the remaining content, I will publish the book. I’m currently envisioning the first book to be roughly 30 chapters, and most sequels will be of a similar length. It will probably be between 5 and 9 books overall in the main series, but I’ve established a lot of lore in this world that I could expand on for spin-offs. Depending on the success of this book, I may or may not increase my time spent writjng in general, and here on FA.

Speaking of FA… I have about 8 stories I have at varying degrees of finality:

-A Destiny Declassified featuring Pokémon, and the first hints of a larger story (almost finished)
-A pokephilia commission (almost finished… I’m so sorry)*
-A Destiny Declassified showcasing Silas (Maximillian)’s seventh mission in the marines, and a summary of 4,5, and 6, and a bit more information (just started)
-A trio of stories featuring Maximillian, mixed POV with people on planets he visits (half done, half done, and just started).
-A transcript of a secret project that uses people who “die” as agents in the IDF (several characters done, more planned).
-A few other projects I’ve stalled out on

*As much fun as I’ve had doing this and my other commission, I don’t think I’ll do any more after this. I take a long enough time writing my own stories, and no one deserves to wait this long for a mediocre smut story. If you really want something, message me personally, and I’ll see what I can do.

I’ve also been trying to keep my schedule somewhat open for the rewrite of A Dragon Trains You, but for now I’m going to move some stuff along. By around the end of the month, you should expect to see:

Wow. I wasn’t expecting to triple the favorites I had in about a week. Nor was I expecting to reach 50 so soon with so little. I definitely didn’t see myself writing a lot of porn, nor did I plan to do very much of it, but its still hard to ignore the statistic that 86% of faves were on my two NSFW posts. So… I found out today that HTTYD is going into the modern world soon… on the one hand I’m stoked for it, but on the other hand… it kinda screws with my main project. So, to paraphrase the man Mr. Sheev the Senate Palpatine himself… I’m going to “Double my efforts...” and try and get my novel done ASAP. Unfortunately… this will likely slow down or outright stop production of other content as I scramble to finish this off. My friend Indiana53 has been recruited to help me finish this in time. Don’t look for him on FA… he’s not here. He sometimes (rarely) streams games on Twitch, but otherwise he does nothing online, but is super knowledgeable about WWII. Luckily… he’s also super chill about stuff.

It’s about time I did a proper profile, so meet my character, Maximillian!

He’s the only human left, who you’d think was out of his depth in a galaxy of aliens, yet despite this gets along surprisingly well. He fancies himself as something of a military genius, and to be fair, he does avoid a lot of common military blunders, mostly by the benefit of experience learned from history. Also, having an endless army of droids kind of makes that sort of thing moot…. but that’s what makes him special. Even with that nearly insurmountable advantage, he still fights and commands like he has no reserves. He’s spent a good deal of time in the Colonial Interstellar Marine Corps, an organization that deals with primarily pest problems and pirates, but his time there exposed him to other sorts of potential threats (namely the chaotic multiverse of furries). His time in the CIMC prepared him for the transition to the IDF (Interdimensional Defense Force), in which his experience led to his appointment as essentially the highest ranked military officer in the IDF, second only to the enigmatic Director, who restructured the organization upon his appointment. He’s also something of a genetic purist, and has rejected genetic enhancements or augmentations, favoring mechanical assistance for necessary operations when called for. Despite this, he recently discovered that he became a dragon, and has worked tirelessly to try and keep it a secret, and if possible, undo the changes. However, in a recent operation he encountered Komstaka, the individual responsible for his transformation, as well as his enemy, Lumina, with whom Maximillian may be trying to develop a friendship, or at the very least foment a mutual alliance. But for now, he’s basically in the ideal position to go have adventures wherever he wants, with little to no personal consequence.

His personality is complicated. He hates people who think, or act, like they’re better than everyone, since he believes all beings are equally important. This extends to the politicians who boss him around from their lofty positions, although his faith in the system he’s been fighting for checks his nature. He prefers diplomatic solutions to problems rather than using force, and when using force tries to achieve victory with as little suffering as possible for both sides. Not wanting himself to become a dictator, he’s given his droids extreme levels of autonomous programming and freedom, to the point that he regards them as sentient beings. Since droids can’t “die,” he’s invested heavily in repair facilities for his units. Even his destroyed troops don’t really die, thanks to his “respawn” project, which backs up each individual droid’s personality matrix and memories, so that, even if totally destroyed, they can be given a new “body,” and with frequent backups, most of the droid’s being will be preserved in the event it’s housing is vaporized in battle or something. He also gives his droids leave, and the option to engage in side careers when not actively deployed, like some organic soldiers might do. He’s willing to bend the law in order to preserve the spirit of it. Thus, he has concocted a massive underground network of secret information and resources which he uses to fund his growing forces. His ultimate goal, is a peaceful order, in which he hopes to achieve a Utopia like society, free from the ills that plagued his home, and the government he currently serves. He himself has no political ambitions, and sees himself as merely a check on the power that politicians hold.

So… I’ve been writing more recently. This is largely thanks to my discovery that I don’t get burned out, if I vary my writing topic (even if only slightly) since it allows my creative juices (not literal) to flow more naturally, and keeps me from hitting road blocks. Since, when I reach one, I just start writing something else, and repeat! The only downside is that this makes uploads at regular intervals nigh impossible. Additionally, I don’t have infinite time to write, since I also have to sleep, study, and plan THREE Dungeons and Dragons games a week! I know, utter madness… but those games do give me a lot of ideas for my writing. Plus, I have other errands and commitments to meet, but luckily I don’t have a proper job (though my wallet is screaming for me to get one… why is food so expensive!?), so that frees up a lot of time for me to write. My faith in my writing also got a boost recently, when I got my GRE scores back. My writing was my best score by far in terms of percentile, placing me in the top 10%. Anyway, I’m currently willing to discuss possible trades, maybe even engage in some commission work soon. I’ll be updating my contact info soon if you’re interested. Firstly, an update on The Return of Dragons.

I have not one, but TWO chapters coming soon (both within the next week to make up for the delay). One featuring our scaly friend Tempest, and another with Mueller. Both are more lengthy than either previous post, and will be all until late May, when I hope to have two more chapters, both of Tempest done. Trying to balance the two is tricky, especially since there is so much uncertainty in Mueller’s story still, and how Tempest will play into it.

Secondly, I’m opening up a “couple” of slots for requests. As I’m still quite new to all this, I’m not charging anything to secure these, they’re simply first come, first serve. I do have a few parameters which may or may not be turn offs.

1. I will accept any request for a series of up to 5 parts, with each part being no more than 8 pages double spaced 12pt Times New Roman (for a maximum of 40 pages). I will also accept short stories no longer than 20 pages in the same format.
2. I will accept any request up to Mature in rating, regardless of subject matter, as long as I’m versed in it (I don’t know much about anime or manga for example, and will likely not be taking any requests from that genre).
3. I will only do NSFW requests of a non-sexual nature. I’m not as of yet prepared to make that leap in my writing for a host of reasons.
4. I will give priority to shorter length requests, but will work to establish time frames I will stick to for all projects, both now and future.
5. Topics concerning Dragons, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or Alternate History will also receive priority as these align with my interests, but again, I will set reasonable time frames for all projects now and later.

Born in 1899 in the city of Cologne, Danzig S. Mueller was a brilliant and gifted individual. He was emotive and empathetic, and inherently trusted and was trusted by those around him. His parents were neither poor nor wealthy, and could afford to send him to a decent boarding school. He got among the best of marks, but had few close friends. As a result, coupled with his intelligence, he was seen as strange. People began to take advantage of his trusting nature, and ended up tricking him into embarrassing and dishonoring himself. This lead to him clamming up, suppressing his emotions, and fostered a long streak of paranoia. His grades wavered, but still remained decent, though he no longer stood out as much as he had before. As he faded into the obscurity of normality, he began to find friends. He began to adopt a “trust but verify” attitude, and stopped being so paranoid, which enabled his social skills to grow. He was supposed to go on a trip with Erich, one of his friends, whose parents were very wealthy. It would be a trip around the world, starting with France, then a trip to Britain, then across the Sea to visit the US, Canada, Cuba, Brazil, then Argentina. Then, to South Africa, the British Raj (aka India), Egypt, Italy, then Switzerland and Austria Hungary before returning home. However, he came down with appendicitis 2 days before and was unable to go. As fate would have it, his friend would have a serious scare as the voyage to the US was aboard the RMS Titanic, which struck an Iceberg and sank, along with more than half of its passengers and crew. His friend and family were among the survivors, but they cancelled the rest of their trip and returned to Germany. The fear Mueller had before receiving the telegram changed his outlook on life, as he realized that anyone could brush with death at any time, even as young as 12 or 13. His appendicitis seemed to pale in comparison, and may have saved his life. His friend began to have nightmares, and started confessing he sometimes heard ice screeching on steel if things got too quiet. The pair took up band to try to drown the noises out, and that seemed to help. When the Great War broke out, they were too young to enlist, but were eager like most young men to fight. Their fathers taught them to shoot, how to march, and how to be proper soldiers. Erich’s parents pulled some strings, and were able to get Erich an officers commission in late 1917, when he turned 18. Mueller wasn’t able to enlist until after Christmas, and ended up joining the war in May of 1918. It was there, that he once again had his worldview shattered. He had known death was a possibility, and that Germany had been struggling, but to see the horror first hand was terrifying to him. Despite this, or perhaps in spite of it, he performed admirably. During one attack, he held a trench almost single handedly, when a nearby machine gun crew was killed by an artillery shell, he manned the gun. This resulted in more than 50 allied soldiers being killed, and earned him an Iron cross and a battlefield promotion to Lieutenant. This attack scarred him terribly, but not physically. Almost immediately he had nightmares, ones he imagined were similar to Erich’s about the Titanic, except that his were the result of him killing. When the Armistice finally came, he was secretly glad the war was over. However, with the unfairness of the Treaty of Versailles, and learning that Erich had died in the last week of the war, he changed his opinion swiftly. He was forced to leave the army, and ended up attending college. He devoted himself to his studies to become a lawyer, since he didn’t fancy being a doctor. However, due the recession of 1923, he was forced to work as a police detective in Düsseldorf, and found he was quite good at it, despite barely making ends meet. He lived in near squalor, and sometimes went hungry, like many during this time. Eventually, he heard that former general Erich Ludendorff had thrown in his support to a rising political movement known as the National Socialist German Workers' Party. What he didn’t know was that Ludendorff didn’t join the movement, but that led him to keep an eye on it. Their failed coup worried him slightly, an prevented him from giving his support by joining, but he kept tabs on them. Ultimately, he joined the party in 1930 and voted for Nazis in that election. He kept his job and wasn’t particularly involved in the party beyond voting for their politicians. In the 1932 election, he voted for Hitler over Hindenburg, mainly because of Hitler’s promise to undo the Treaty of Versailles. Following the rise of Hitler, he applied to rejoin the military. He was accepted, but only provisionally. He was entitled to be called lieutenant, and when the time came, he could officially rejoin. However, he was accosted regularly by Major Ludwig Gunther of the Gestapo. He enjoyed poking his nose in people’s business, and especially enjoyed bossing Mueller around. This got the attention of his superiors, who investigated Mueller’s war record and noted he joined the party before they came to power. The SS came to him in May of 1936, and offered him an Obersturmbannführer position in it, citing his war record and experience, in addition to his party loyalty being reasons for extending the offer. They didn’t mention the berating as being part of the consideration, nor the individuals who had recommended him. Partly because he was sick of being annoyed by Gunther, and partly because he didn’t want to risk refusing on the off chance it wasn’t really an offer, he accepted. He operated as before, continuing to advise and consult with the police and Gestapo, but was given a small detachment of troops to command. He had the rank and influence in the SS, but was effectively a glorified detective. It is in this position that we find him at the outset of our tale.

This story idea is one that I have been toying with for some time, almost 6 months now. While I largely know where the plot will go, it only extends to a certain point, well before a serious climax. The prologue is indicative of the greater story’s rising action, though it will begin before the prologue. However, beyond late 1936, I am currently indecisive about how I plan the story to continue, or even end. I have imagined at least 5 endings with varying degrees of satisfaction, believability, and impact on real history. If I am to do this story justice, it could take months, if not years of writing to reach this point (1937 and on). However, this summer should provide me a better opportunity to write more of this story, so I can release new chapters sooner, and possibly have a backlog prepared for when I go back to school.
The first chapter has proven difficult, since it is by far my least defined segment of this project, aside from the ending (which in my terms is about half the story, or more in some iterations). My whole summary for this first chapter in my outline is “Early Life and decision to leave.” Real descriptive there Siegfried. 10/10, outline skills, gonna save the world with that intricate level of planning there! To further complicate things, now that I’m actually writing it, I’m debating whether or not to split these “ideas” into separate chapters, or to do one chapter, omit some details, then incorporate flashbacks into later chapters. So, wherever I get THAT figured out, I should be able to post on a more regular basis, since the rest of my outline isn’t as useless as the Copper Short-sword in Terraria. But, until then, don’t expect too much for another couple of weeks, but I promise that it will come soon. I have other writing obligations (namely school) which take priority.
This project is a labor of love, which means I will be going at my own pace, and will remain noncommittal to a formal schedule (for now). I have a very solid outline for at least half of this story done, which I am currently very reluctant to alter. That doesn’t mean that I will ignore suggestions, however, if you have them, especially if they are minor details rather than plot alterations. If you really want to support this project, please consider commenting, providing feedback, or even just letting me know you enjoy it. That goes a long way towards motivating me to keep writing, as if I’m only doing something for myself, I find that I tend to slack off. So, even a bad joke about waiting for the next chapter, or complaining about how long it’s taking are ways to let me know you’re still interested, and that I should keep going. At least, behind my own self interest. Furthermore, I get that a largely SFW story may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that so far, I could easily have posted this on another non-furry forum (which I may eventually do), but hey, I didn’t.
