General | Posted 7 years agoI'll start out by saying that I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in... let's just say 'a stupidly long time'. Ideas I've had plenty of, but between distractions from other stuff and a muse that enjoys being lazy way too much, going from idea to finished work has just not been happening.
That said, while I haven't finished anything lately, the same cannot be said for others, and one of my favorite authors, AlexReynard, just finished posting the last part to an absolute beast of a book that I can highly recommend:
Phobiopolis.
Fair warning, unlike most of my stuff this is a story that can be pretty brutal at times, for reasons that became increasingly clear as it goes on. No real sexual content, but there is gore, there is violence, and there are people you will really want to push off of tall buildings. There are also moments of humor(sometimes in the funniest places), great characters, and a story that will keep you engaged like nothing else.
Finally, for anyone that does decide to give it a go: I am so (not) sorry for the hours upon hours you're about to lose. I am not kidding when I say it is a beast of a story, it is huge.

Snack now and meal later...?(question for readers)
General | Posted 9 years agoSo, I find myself in a bit of a conundrum. Room and Board(with Benefits), the super-gay story I've been pecking at for way too damn long is and is not finished, and I wanted a second/third/fourth opinion on it.
If I cut out the flashback portion the story is 'done', sitting at four pages of basically pure, plotless smut. A pass through for polish and I could probably throw the thing out sometime this week.
Keeping the flashback adds some plot and background, boosting the story to seven pages but also leaves the story incomplete, as the last gorram scene is just not wanting to be written(seriously, how hard is it to write a damn BJ scene?!), leaving the release date as 'the hell if I know'.
So, the question:
Would people be interested in a 'lite' version of the story now, with the 'full' release 'TBA', or would you lot prefer to wait for the full experience right out of the gate, whenever the deuce that is?

Absentee muses, very short stories, and addicting games
General | Posted 9 years agoBeen a good while since I last posted anything, between a muse that seems to have taken a vacation and a few other things that are far more distracting than they should be (like a certain one-man dev-team farming simulator) figured I'd drop a micro-story and a micro-micro story as evidence that I'm not dead just yet before I get sucked back into making wine, milking cows and hunting some freakin' artifacts that need to show up already dammit.
The micro-micro story, containing a bit of a mistake when it comes to gender by a naughty feline that really should have paid more attention in class.
Oops
"Javin, this is a male."
Javin's head snapped up. Meeting Das' gaze with incredulous eyes.
"But... what... everyone always says only females will even give them a second glance! That the scent only works on females!"
"Generally, yes." Das responded, heavily stressing the first word. "However, as you should have known the scent merely lowers inhibitions, it doesn't eliminate them. Generally only females show interest, but there are males that share that inclination as well, and it would appear you managed to stumble upon one."
Javin's ear folded back in consternation, though his face also showed confusion as well.
"A male interested in other males? Like that?"
Das hung his head and rolled his eyes in despair over the ignorance of the young.
"Yes. It's not common by any stretch, but it does happen from time to time."
"But... what am I supposed to do with a male? How am I suppose to... you know..."
As exasperating as Javin's continued confusion was Das couldn't help but grin and lick his lips a little.
"Oh have no worry there, male or females there are plenty of things to 'do' should they be agreeable. If anything, and based upon... stories I have heard a male can be just as good if not better than a female for that sort of thing."
Adopting a speculative expressive Javin looked down at the sleeping form next to them.
"Is that right..."

Really muse? Really?
General | Posted 9 years agoI've mentioned that my muse is freakin' insane before, right?
So I'm playing Dragon Quest Builders(DQB: 'Like Minecraft if it had plot and a terrible, horrible camera!'), running around collecting parts for the most recent build in creative mode of ten luxury houses that the NPC's can then proceed to ignore when I run past a hammerhood, one of the in-game monsters, and one that happens to be one of the 'friendly' ones, such that they won't attack you unless you attack them first, and you can even talk to several in the 'main' campaign.
Mind starts wandering, throws out the idea of a less experienced human builder being rescued by a hammerhood, maybe after an attack by some less friendly monsters. Human, grateful as they are, offer to help the monster in return, maybe by building something for them like a nice house or good weapon.
Then the muse, with a glint in it's eye, suggested a different way of repayment... you can probably guess were that went, which is why I now find myself typing away at what may be my first raunchy game-related fanfic, because of course it makes perfect sense to go from picking up sticks and whacking rocks with a hammer to get smaller rocks to writing three-ways between a human and two monsters, and tossing out ideas on monster 'reproduction'/rebirth(non-sex related randomly enough) and how hunting works in a world where the 'prey' is fully capable of speech if you care to listen.
Really the two activities are so similar and logically connected I suppose I should have been more surprised if it hadn't happened.

"I've been reading HOW long?!" ebook recommendations
General | Posted 9 years agoWith the imminent release of the latest in a book series keeping it on my mind the last week, and an ever random mind, figured I'd infli- bless anyone who reads a lot with the series by pointing it out so they can check it out themselves. And while I'm pointing out one good series, I figured why not throw a few more into the mix, for those that might be interested in other genres.
The Kurtherian Gambit Omnibus 01 - The Fans Version: Death Becomes Her - Queen Bitch - Love Lost - $5.99 (you can buy the individual books as I did, but pickig up the omnibus editions stands to save you a lot of money)
Hard to classify without spoilers, I'd place it somewhere between actions, paranormal/sci-fi. A little slow to pick up but once it does always plenty going on, including some truly inventive cursing.
https://www.amazon.com/Kurtherian-Gambit-Omnibus-01-Version-ebook/dp/B01DX63B2G/ref=la_B017J2WANQ_1_21?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1475626475&sr=1-21&refinements=p_82%3AB017J2WANQ
Lyric's Curse (Dragonblood Sagas Book 1) - $3.99
Low-magic(so far) fantasy series.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B7N6ZUW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=RH6KAC3KFFQH&coliid=I1S3LDA7N5MHZF
Inadvertent Adventures - $2.99
Sci-fi, some space combat but the focus is more along the lines of 'keeping alive and fed by taking the jobs you can get and dealing with the random/dangerous/weird stuff that crops up.' Think 'Firefly'.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BIFA2HG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=RH6KAC3KFFQH&coliid=I1IHQ59RBTAIO7
Omega Force Series Omnibus (Books 1-3) - $4.99
'Get abducted trying to rescue the crew of a crashed spaceship, meet interesting aliens and kill them' . An enjoyable sci-fi series about a merc/spec ops groups solving problems through creative use of force, stealth and/or large guns.
https://www.amazon.com/Omega-Force-Omnibus-Books-1-3-ebook/dp/B00H8CM4XO/ref=la_B00CKQXK22_1_13?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1475626451&sr=1-13&refinements=p_82%3AB00CKQXK22
Not Your Typical, Scantily-Clad Virgin Sacrifice - $1.99
Ignore the cover, it has basically nothing to do with the actual contents of the book itself. A collection of short stories of various genres, from humor, series, sci-fi to fantasy.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CYEXFS/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=RH6KAC3KFFQH&coliid=I2L7CMQJ3MTD8I
Spinward Fringe Broadcast 0: Origins - Free
First 'book' in a sizable space opera series. Lots of action on and off the ship, makes for a passable stand-alone but the rest of the series is cheap enough to grab if this whets your appetite for more.

That's not good...
General | Posted 9 years agoHaving your computer pseudo-shut down at some point during a virus scan when you're out of the room, fans still running, case noise still running but speakers silent and screen not recieving any signal? That's bad, but shit happens.
Having it happen mere minutes after turning on the computer for the first time the very next day? That's... problematic.
Looks like it's time to start looking for a new primary HD, perhaps even a new computer.

Testing the waters, fishing for ideas, plus extra
General | Posted 9 years agoGetting somewhat close to finishing the latest short story and was curious as to the reception it might receive, given it differs rather notably from most of my other works.
First of all? Super gay. M/M lion/human, two explicit scenes, minimal plot, just straight to the sexy times.
Another reason for the journal however is the title. It's... bad. Just downright terrible. Flowed nicely from the previous micro-story title(more on that below), but on it's own it's just bad. So, figured I'd throw it out, see if any of my readers had any alternative ideas. Current abomination pretending to be a story title is 'Carnal delights', so the bar isn't exactly very high at the moment. Have an idea for something better, feel free to post it.
Lastly the extra, another experimental micro-story where the 'challenge' was no names, no referring to the other character in more than the vaguest sense. Came out decently enough I think, and will hopefully be an enjoyable and quick read for anyone who's gotten this far in the journal.
Simple Comforts
The oaken door silently opens, revealing the well lit library within. Walking on lush carpet the goal is soon revealed, a large furry form relaxing atop an even larger plush couch, book in hand. As they look up the last few steps are covered, until there is nothing but the feel of soft fur against exposed skin and the smell of wolf in the nose, snuggled up against their side.
“Finished with your chores then?” is almost felt more than heard as they carefully place their book down and lay a large hand against the back of your neck.
“Mmm” mumbled against their side, the sense of relaxation too much to allow more coherent speech.
“Care for a book of your own to read?” Again words rumbled through the large form and against skin, hand softly running down the back.
A shake of the head, paired with another “Mmm” the response.
“Did you need anything in particular?”
Another shake of the head even as another wave of pleasure and comfort courses through the body.
The hand that was along the back leaves for a moment, the sound of paper ruffling heard before it returns, arm resting against the back as the hands hold the wolf’s book once more, content to read and enjoy the company with them.
A lazy way to end a night, but most assuredly an enjoyable one.

Fortune(story seed)
General | Posted 9 years agoDidn't feel this was finished enough to be an actual submission, even in micro-story format, but given I haven't finished anything else for a good while figured it might be nice to show that I'm not dead yet, and what better way to do that then throw out a open ended micro-story based upon an idea that started out just vague enough to annoy the crap out of me with potential?
No idea if this will be expanded upon in the future, only have a few vague ideas floating around and with my crazy muse I can never tell, but it's at least something, and with an eccentric muse like mine you take what you can get.
Fortune
By Chaos Blackwing
Buried as he was in the book before him it was only when a shadow blocked the light from the library window that James looked up. Expecting one of the librarians telling him that it was time to close up he was surprised instead to see what appeared to be a well dressed wolf standing in front of him, looking down with a speculative expression on his face. Blinking several times failed to dispel what he could only assume was a hallucination or his mind playing tricks on him.
Really now, a wolf on two legs, in a suit? What next, a hippo in a ballerina outfit engaged in a spot of line-dancing?
Before he could ask what the mirage needed the expression changed from thoughtful to pleasantly surprised, a smile spreading over the wolf’s muzzle.
“Well now, this is a surprise. I certainly didn’t expect to run across someone like you on this little excursion.” Movement out of the corner of his eyes had James looking down to see a tail lazily wagging back and forth behind the wolf, because of course a two-legged wolf would still have a tail. A chuckled brought his gaze back up to the wolf’s, where if anything it’s smile seemed to have only grown. “The Sight as well, you are quite the find.” A hand came up to rub lightly under their chin as they stood in thought, smiling enigmatically down at a confused James all the while. “Yes, yes I do believe you’ll do just nicely.”
Frozen in place the entire time in confusion, James found himself jerking backwards into the plush chair as the wolf suddenly leaned forward, that same smile on their face as they reached a hand out to brush the side of his face.
“Worry not little one, as unexpected as this little meeting of ours has been today is most certainly a fortuitous one for the both of us, just you wait and see.”
Quite done with the hallucination at this point James was just about to get up and head home to his apartment, where he could at least go nuts in the comfort of his own room when he instead found himself yawning, a wave of exhaustion sweeping over him out of nowhere. Struggle as he might it was only a matter of seconds before his eyes closed and his body went limp in the chair, deeply asleep.
A kind smile on their face the wolf reached down and scooped up the now sleeping human in their arms as though they weighed nothing, leaving them curled up against their chest. As he turned to leave the library not a glance was spared their way, the other patrons completely focused on their own business as though there was nothing out of the ordinary to have a large bipedal wolf carrying a sleeping human in their arms walk past.
Carefully nudging the door open with their hip the wolf looked up in the sky for a moment, enjoying the evening light before turning and heading towards their car, eager to bring their find back home for a little chat, hopefully leading to much more.
No idea if this will be expanded upon in the future, only have a few vague ideas floating around and with my crazy muse I can never tell, but it's at least something, and with an eccentric muse like mine you take what you can get.

For those in need of some good, free entertainment
General | Posted 9 years agoA most excellent comic artist recently put up their three last comic issues for free on their DA page, and it looks like they've got at least one of their other series up for grabs as well, so if you're a fan of action, humor, the Darkness fighting the Light and getting some poor sod mixed up, and/or Cthulhu-ish monsters battling Death Knights, give it a look, as it will cost you only your time unless you get sucked in and want to throw money at them.

Question regarding SoFurry
General | Posted 10 years agoUpdate: Installed Firefox, and SoFurry works fine with that, so guess it's Chrome acting up, not the site itself.
A question for those of you that post and/or visit SoFurry as well, has anyone else been having troubles with the site? About a week or so ago the images wouldn't load properly for me, and for the past few days pretty much none of the graphics will load properly any time I try and load the site, resulting in nothing but plain text on a white background.
Just curious as to whether or not this is an issue that others are experiencing, which would indicate that it's something up with SF, or if it's just me, indicating that it's something on my end causing problems.

Now vs Later
General | Posted 10 years agoHaving completed the first 'part' of Mirror, I've found myself with a question I figured I'd toss out to my readers: Should I post it now in the state it is, or hold off on posting until the overall story is complete? Currently it stands at 6 pages, possibly 1/3rd of the way through the story, though given how some of my other stories have ran away from me I can't really set that percentage in stone, and while it does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, there should be enough there to count as a 'chapter'.
So, any preferences among my handful of readers? Post it in parts, or hold off, waiting until it's completed?

So you need to conquer a planet...
General | Posted 10 years agoOf all the strange forms of writer's block, this one's got to be one of the odder. Bouncing between story ideas, and one of them I need an explanation for why an advanced race/collection of races would show up out of nowhere to conquer Earth in a violent fashion, only to be stumped a bit.
Originally I'd thrown together the idea that the ones responsible were in a running-war of sorts with another race, and they either conquer and absorb the populations of the planets they come across, or leave said populations to the non-existent mercies of their enemy. '90 or 100. Even if 90% are killed, it's beats the alternative, 100%' Also tossed about the idea that the forces fighting the 'swarm' enemy send out fleets to try and cut them off when they try and expand, and if they run into another sentient race when they do so they absorb them to keep the swarm from doing so and multiplying even more.
Might be overthinking it a bit, but just can't shake the feeling that I could do better when it comes to motivation to conquer a planet, so if anyone's got any other ideas, feel free to share.
As a bit of a reward for checking out the journal, here's some snippets from a few of the stories I've been tinkering with. No idea how many of them will evolve into full fledged stories, but perhaps the snippets will inspire or entertain.

Mirror
"Mirror."
Two weeks later, a clearly frustrated feline returned the servant they had purchased, tersely citing a 'conflict of personalities'.

Three weeks later a stallion returned the servant they had purchased, stating that he'd had enough talking back to him in college, and had no interest in a 'defective' servant who did so.
"Mirror."
One week later, a fuming wolf brought a bruised human in, gnashing his teeth over the 'insolent hairless ape'. Upon being informed that their actions were considered a criminal offense, and that not only would they not be getting a refund, they would be charged and tried for their crimes, the anger they'd had before quickly boiled over, to the point that it required two of the store guards to restrain them until the police arrived.

Told you so(working title)
Sneaking peaks in the rearview mirror of his car as he drove, Meris couldn't believe his luck. When his friends and co-workers had suggested he take a week off to go camping and relax, he figured he'd spend a few days 'roughing it' in the woods, then come back to civilization once the weekend was over. Relaxing, but not much more than that. Never in his wildest dreams however did he imagine that he would not only encounter a feral human on his trip, but actually manage to catch one.
Looking back at the male in the backseat, Meris still couldn't believe it. Sure there had been a notice that the area he was camping in sometimes had ferals passing through, but he never thought he'd actually see one in person, given the two groups tended to stay separate, the humans in their small forest and mountainous villages, and the furs in their towns and cities. Despite that however, not two days into his trip he had encountered the human now in the car with him when he came back to his camp after a short hike and found the human examining his tent and supplies.

In the Enemy's Claws
Detecting movement inside the room the system activated the camera and microphone hidden within the walls, silently directing both to focus on the prone but moving form inside, while a small light began to blink, notifying the one next to the observation console that the room's occupant was awake at last.

Groaning softly, I shifted about on the makeshift 'bed' in the shack I called home, trying to get back to sleep. After a few minutes though, when it became obvious that it wasn't happening, I figured it was time to wake up and start another glorious day of hiding, scrounging for food, and re-reading one of the few books I'd managed to save.
Opening my eyes however revealed not the concrete walls I was expecting, but lightly lit walls of dark steel, or at least a substance that looked like it. The light itself seemed to be coming from narrow strips along the walls, close to where they met the ceiling, with the light itself bright enough to allow me to examine my new room, but dim enough not to be noticed while asleep apparently. As it slowly sank in where I was, where I had to be, two words came to mind.
"I'm screwed."

Status Update, Awakening 3 and others
General | Posted 10 years agoFor the curious, figured I'd toss out a small status update for some of the projects I've been working on the past while.
Heavy Hangs the Head - Extended: 3,315 words, 7 pages currently(the 'original' is 1351/3 for comparison). Perhaps half-way done at this point.
One Day - Fleece Collar epilogue: 1,364 words, 3 pages. Both an epilogue of sorts for Fleece Collar, as well as a stand-alone, 'What if?' story. For those that might be confused by this, yes I am working on an epilogue/'What if' chapter for a series that's not actually done. Why yes, my muse is random and crazy.
Misc. story seeds: 8,354 words, 17 pages. Where most of my writing has been happening unfortunately. Good for practice and getting ideas down before they fade, not so good for actually getting something finished out there, though some of the ideas might be expanded upon in the future, who knows?

A good writer in need of help
General | Posted 10 years agoSo, an excellent writer I stumbled across a while back seems to be in pretty bad shape, and unless they can scrounge up enough, are at risk of losing their home. While unfortunate at any time, the fact that they got this way in large part due to helping out elder relatives makes it all the worse, as it would be quite the sad re-payment for their efforts and generosity.
Here's a link to their stories:

If you enjoy their stories, and can spare a few dollars, or would be willing to spread the message in case you know others who might be willing to do so, it would be appreciated.

Snowblind 2 update
General | Posted 11 years agoSo, just a little update with regards to Snowblind 2, for those that enjoyed the first one.
I am, I believe, about 75% done with the story, and will hopefully be able to get it out either before the end of the month, or hopefully sometime early next month. I'm rather looking forward to the next major scene, as it includes the part that actually got me to writing a sequel, when the idea popped into my head and just refused to leave. Hopefully it'll end up as cute and funny in the story as it seemed as a story seed.

The curse of those glowing eyes or 'Snowblind 2: The Noming'
General | Posted 11 years agoSo, back when I posted Snowblind, I said at the time that it was likely to be the last Dragosect Tale I'd be writing for a good while. I also believe I mentioned something about my muse being completely insane and random, as well as having a fixation on dragosects... anyone care to guess where I'm going with this?
Yeah, so it seems Snowblind may get a follow-up. I thought it would be fairly short, but at three pages currently, I'm barely past the intro scenes, so I imagine it may end up even longer than Snowblind by the time it's finished, which hopefully will be fairly quick, or at least quick by my terrible standards of writing.
Huzzah for crazy muses distracting me from my other stories!

General | Posted 11 years agoSo, quick question to my handful of watchers, would any of you be interested in reading some excerpts from some of my work-in-progress stories, or story ideas that may or may not be further developed? The excerpts would range between a paragraph, to a page or so in size, from various spots in a given story/idea.
BACK. YOUR. SHIT. UP.
General | Posted 11 years agoSo this past saturday my computer went from 'Ailing, but still functional' straight to 'It's dead Jim', with a corrupted system file apparently being the final nail in it's digital coffin. After a few days of fiddling with things, I have, thankfully, managed to get the computer back into reasonable condition.
So what's the point of this journal you may ask? Well, due to religiously backing up my files, I lost, at most, a week's worth of files. Now, some of you may have never had to deal with a dead computer and all the hassle and stress involved. If so, lucky you. However, much like you should wear a seatbelt even if you never plan on getting involved with a car crash, even if your computer has never given you problems, you should still take precautions.
This is something that everyone seems to need to learn the hard way, as much like any other problem, most people have the mindset of 'It'll never happen to me'. And you'd be right... until it did.
As such, if you aren't already, strongly consider implementing the following:
1. Have a solid anti-virus program and keep it updated. At the very least make sure the virus definitions list is up to date. Personally I use Avast, seems to work okay.
2. Do a scan with your anti-virus program on a regular basis(weekly should be good). Most of the time a quick scan will be enough, those take 5-10 minutes at most, though occasionally(every 3-6 months or so) a full system scan would be recommended, just in case.
2.5. It should go without saying, but if your computer starts acting up all of a sudden, that would also be a very good time to do a full system scan, just in case.
3. Install Adblock Plus or a similar ad-blocking browser ad-on. This will not only make your internet experience so much less annoying, but every so often malware and other nasty stuff can be slipped into ads, so if you load one, you get the other.
4. Back up any important files, or files you would miss if they disappeared, on a regular basis onto a second, or even third, drive(second HD, flash stick, or external drive all work, and can be fairly cheap). Make sure to do this after the virus scan, don't want to back up the nasty stuff along with the good.
Regarding backing up your files, if you're talking about hundreds, or even thousands of pictures/songs/stories/whatever, this may seem like a daunting and time consuming process. It doesn't need to be. What you want to look for is an incremental backup tool, that backs up only the files that have been added since the last backup. The initial backup will take a while, depending on how large it is, but after that you're looking at a couple of minutes usually.
A backup program that I use myself, and can recommend, is Cobain Backup(http://www.cobiansoft.com/cobianbackup.htm). It can take a little fiddling to get everything set up, but once it is the process is as simple as plugging in your backup drive, waiting for the computer to recognize it, and then clicking the 'Start' button and letting the program do the rest.
Remember: 'A wise man learns from his mistakes, a wiser one learns from the mistakes of others'. If you haven't had any computer problems in the past, count yourself lucky, and capitalize on your luck by taking steps to keep it that way.

By the light
General | Posted 11 years agoThe final chapter of By the light has just been posted on SoFurry, so if it looked interesting, but you've been holding off on reading it due to it still being a work in progress, now's your chance to read it in it's entirety.

Good news/bad news/good news time
General | Posted 13 years agoFirst the good news: The second chapter of By the light has been finished, and is ready to be posted.
Now the bad news: The chapter includes some feral-form naughtyness between Simeon and other characters while in wolf form, which given the strict ban on all things underage and sexual here, sadly makes posting it here a big no-no.
I'll be honest and admit that this problem didn't even occur to me until I'd actually read the second chapter, and realized that I wouldn't be able to post it here, so this problem is entirely my fault for missing such a huge thing like that, and for that I'm sorry.
And now good news again. Given the different rules on SoFurry, the chapter can, and has been posted there, so you can head on over to SoFurry if you want to check the thing out, with the first chapter being found here:

Snack food for thought ('Cause it's not enough for a meal)
General | Posted 15 years agoJust a few random thoughts that were kicking around. If any of them make someone think a bit, or even pause in thought, then my work here is done.
Rules to live by:
1. As you harm none, do as you will
2. In all things, try not to be a douche.
A pessimist is merely an experienced optimist.
The greatest crimes in history are almost always preceded by one person or group de-humanizing another person or group. "They don't matter because they aren't XXX"
Childhood is composed of doing stupid things and (hopefully) learning from your mistakes. Adulthood is composed of doing stupid things and acting like you didn't. Which of these two is supposed to be more advanced again?
Words are, or at the very least can be, the most powerful weapons in existence.

Seeds of thought: A familiar perspective(Possible story)
General | Posted 15 years agoSo I've gotten an idea for a rather unique story setup. It will start out one way, but at a certain point will branch out into different endings, sort of a 'choose your own story' thing. I've got a couple of ideas for themes for the endings, but I figured I'd toss this out and see if anyone else had any ideas they'd perhaps like to see put down.
Not saying every idea will get an ending(or even that the story will get written, my muse is very fickle) but still, if you've got an idea, you're welcome to throw it out, and who knows, maybe my muse will latch on to it and it'll get written.
Basic start is this: A traveling healer is set upon by a group of bandits in a pass, robbed and left for dead. Not long after a loud roar is heard nearby and the healer fears that some horrible monster is close by. Soon after a massive dragon lands nearby, blood dripping from it's mouth. Terrified, the healer figures he's dead, but is greatly surprised when the dragon addresses him, and offers assistance.
Where it goes from there will depend on the ending chosen.

There were three country churches in a small Texas town: the Presbyterian church, the Methodist church and the Catholic church. Each church was overrun with pesky squirrels.
One day, the Presbyterian church called a meeting to decide what to
do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they determined that the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn't interfere with God's divine will. Life went on, but with a lot of nuts and squirrel poop.
The Methodist group got together and decided that they were not in a
position to harm any of God's creations. So, they humanely trapped the
squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Three days
later, the squirrels were back.
It was only the Catholics who were able to come up with the best and
most effective solution. They baptized the squirrels and registered them
as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and
Easter.

The examiner, with a strange look on his face, said," why the hell would you do something like that?"
"Well" replied the driver-wanna-bee, " Bubba ain't never seen a fuckin wreck like we fixin to have!"
****There were three country churches in a small Texas town: the Presbyterian church, the Methodist church and the Catholic church.
Now they only see them on Christmas and
Easter.
