Help Chobe and her fiance get to A-Kon Dallas!

It's extremely rare for me to ask help from the folks I've met online, but I've been wanting to go to a full-fledged convention for so long, and now I have the chance! A-Kon Dallas '10 is coming in June to the Sheraton in the metroplex and I can't express how much I want to go!
The only problem is... Money. I want to get the membership ASAP so that both myself and my fiance can go this year and not have to worry about the tickets, and save the money we make from work for potential cosplays and other expenses. I plan to try to go as Alyx Vance, from the Half-Life 2 games. Failing that, Integra Hellsing. Then, failing that, my own Katarina Acheron.
So the long and short of it is this: I need $90 or more ASAP, I'm willing to draw to get it, and here's my offer.
$10 USD for a picture like Phoenix: Pyrokinetic or like Blue Raccoon.
$10 for a digitally painted hips-up character portrait, +$2 more for a BG.
These are lineless, and generally take me 4-7 hours. They come highlighted and shaded, and as true to source as possible.

Also, if you know an artist from here that will be attending the A-Kon Dallas Artists' Alley, let me know who they are so I can keep an eye out for them!

Not really, but I've been away from FA for quite a while now. Life caught up to me. I moved from KS to TX, now live with my fiance, have a job, and have rather been avoiding FA to get a few people to leave me and my page alone IRL. xD
That aside, I'm looking to make a comeback. I've done some growing since I last posted artwork here and I'm hoping to come back in with a splash. I'll be posting steadily, a few pieces at a time so as to not wear out anybody who does watch me here, trying to catch up to my dA's gallery.

ziff. He's making a video in which he is going to advertise commission-able artists.
I thought it was an awesome idea and wanted to help spread the word. ^v^ It'd be awesome if you could help do that, even if you're not doing commissions. And if you are, and you like the idea, then go participate. :3

I went on another hiatus recently. Moved from one tornado state to another. But this one is much hotter and much closer to frickin' hurricanes! xD Okay, in short, this Equidrafyn is a Texan now. That's why I disappeared off the face of the 'Net for a while. I was moving from the Land of Oz to the Lone Star, to live with my fiance. ^v^
It'd be awesome to meet some Dallas Furs. But the chances of that are slim unless a con comes up and I'm able to go. xD
Enough of my rambling. x3 Oh! By the way, if anyone would like, I do take commissions! *needs monies*

Yeah, just to say that I didn't mean to disappear. ^v^; Life caught up, very abruptly, I might add. v.v
My mom's in the hospital because she had a stroke last week. Not a bad one, but enough to take her out of commission. That and she's still there because of a small hole in her heart that they're going to fix. I'm thinking she might need some rehab after this is all over to fix any walking problems, aka going to the right when trying to walk straight. She's okay, but it's still a shock to the family and I have my suspicions on the reason why it nailed her at this point in her life rather than at a point later. >.<
Just a lot of stuff been going on. My mom, college, life in general. *faints*
But I'll make it. :>

Debating taking Commissions
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I don't know if I'm really "good enough" to take commissions, but with some nudging from friends, I think I'll at least give it a shot. x3
I just don't know how to price myself. Though I'll be doing that when I get the chance; I reckon I could maybe get around $4-$5 USD for sketches n'such. But I have no idea. x3
... yeah... I'm rambling. It's 3:20 AM as I type. x3 Kinda did this more to keep a baseline in mind for real commissions.
Don't mind the 1/3 equine, 1/3 eagle, 1/3 dragon alien critter. x3 She's just a bit loopy. lol
