Soooo I just found out about this, but there's a new con opening in the same place same time as FCN used to be, basically filling in where they left.

I am so super excited about this! I know it's not going to be the same and all that but I don't care! I've been so bummed thinking I wouldn't have a con to go to next year but there IS going to be a con! :D

So....yup...no more conventions. FCN has closed without real warning.

Pretty upset about it. I wish I could have known this last one would have been the last one ever, that would have been nice to know.

I know there is going to be a new one but...I could only go to FCN because it was within a really close driving distance of my home, I can't afford to travel long distance or pay for a hotel room, this new one also takes place too early in the year for me to take a vacation from work in order to attend it.

So...yeah...

So...yeah, I got the citadel dlc for mass effect 3 and...it is way more fun then it has any right to be. I also find the fact that they have an arcade and a fighting arena to be funny as hell, and I just had to go in there and get all the highest scores because...I'm Commander Shepard bitch, you don't get to beat me! I am best everything.

And I didn't invite Jacob to the party either...I hate you Jacob! You and your...baby that you won't name after me...fuck you too.

But I can just imagine...after the official dlc ends but you can still go to the arcade that everyone is just like: "Erm...Commander? The Reapers are kind of...destroying the galaxy...you think you could...uh."

then he goes to the casino and gambles away all of the money he's supposed to use to fund the war...

I can't believe it's just a week away, I am so unprepared.

None of my normal hang out buddies are going to be present this year and I have a massive sad :(

Gonna be testing out a new fursuit. Not sure about it though. The head is very smothering so I likely won't be in it for long periods of time.

So, Emily's health problems continue to escalate and then I noticed I was having the same problems they were just taking longer to develop. So we finally got a pretty good idea for what the issue is. Mold in the house. Mold spores cause all of the symptoms we've had and the only way to get rid of it is either to find all the mold and get rid of it (the house is a mess so...no thank you) or move. So we decided to move.

Unfortunately telling the landlords...aka...my parents, we were moving warranted pretty much an eviction right on the spot and practically got me disowned.

It was upsetting but in the end we figured it would be ok.

Then my car decided to brake down. Both brake lines leading to the back tires have rotted out. It's a 400 dollar fix which is going to make paying our security deposit of 1600 on time very hard. I need my car to get to work so there's no way I could not pay to get it fixed.

We could really use some help to fill the hole punched in our funds by the car. If anyone can send anything it would be great...if you can't...spreading the word would be very appreciated.

So I've determined that I suck at updating here. I spend more time on DA.

Vet bills are under control, thank you to the people who helped out You'll be getting your features soon when I'm able to give it the full focus it deserves.

Starting to feel better. Not quite so horrifyingly depressed at any rate. There's still little things that trigger the sadness of losing my kitty though. The house just seems so empty and quiet now.

I am however about 600 dollars in the hole as a result of our desperate attempts to save Ian and the fact that putting an animal to sleep is not as cheap as it really should be.

Money is no issue when it comes to my animals. I'll gladly put myself into debt to save them but, I could really use some help!

I had to put my 10 month old kitten, Ian, to sleep last night.

We took him to the vet cause he had labored breathing and wouldn't eat, and they found a tumor in his chest and there was nothing they could do.

Two days ago he was playing and happy and now...

I'm sure I'll stop crying eventually...

Back from FCN. Pretty exhausted but I had fun. Nothing overly amazing happened but it was certainly nice to hang out with so many friends.

I'm at a loss about only one thing. I got an FA from someone while I was chilling on a couch...but...the name doesn't seem to exist...I even tried putting it in a general internet search and got nothing at all. I'm stumped as to why someone would give me a fake FA name but...alrighty. *shrugs*

I'm also not sure if it was just me but I had a lot of encounters with "creepy" people. I don't mean socially awkward people. I mean the, get into your personal bubble and make lewd comments for no real reason, type people. *makes face*

I also had several occasions where guys pointed out very loudly that I was a "chick" like it was the most amazing thing they'd ever seen which I found to be pretty funny. I know I have boobs and they're pretty awesome but is it really something that needs to be exclaimed?

Furry Connection North is tomorrow night. I feel very unprepared for it this year, but I'll be there heh.

I probably won't be as active as I usually am do to my new spinal arthritis but whatever, I'll be damned if I let that stop me from doing the things I enjoy most at the con...no matter how physically demanding, raves and fursuit games ftw!

Other then that I'll likely be just hanging out in panels, with friends Niiku and Knave, or in a corner somewhere drawing.

So I keep getting this stupid "Vista Antivirus 2012" virus. If you've never had it, it's the most annoying thing ever!

It's this fake antivirus that invades your computer and blocks all your programs then tells you you're infected with all the worst virus you know of and tells you to register if you want them removed.

Obviously I'm not stupid enough to fall for that crap.

But it's a pain to remove because it sits in your registry and spawns repeatedly. The first time I had to take it to be fixed....the second time I luckily had a restore point and was able to do it that way.

I want to know where I keep getting it from though. I have my suspicions that it's something on DA because the last time it happened I had simply been sitting on WoW listening to music with DA open in the background.

A nice day of relaxation before things start getting interesting around here as I attend OccupyDetroit's first general assembly tomorrow night.

So apparently cats and Wii's just don't mix. or at least MY cat and the Wii doesn't mix. My overly affectionate Leucistic siamese always equates my sitting down in front of the TV with a game controller to being the best time to spend time with me by sitting in my lap since I'm not moving or typing on a keyboard.

Unfortunately this doesn't work well with a Wii controller when his body blocks the sensor at the worst possible times and he mistakes my flailing to mean I want to play resulting in him trying to grab the end of the controller.

It always results in me pushing him off my lap and him yelling at me, with his ears cocked in confusion, for a couple minutes before he tries again.

Poor kitty T.T I know you just want to love me but I'm trying to shoot zombies! Don't you get it, kitty? It's up to us!

And...it's over. Super sad face.

Had a huge blast! Way better all around this year from last year. The complaints I did have were pretty minor and hardly overshadowed the fun I had.

Biggest being a lack of sit space for non-sponsors and the rather crappy promesque pop music on Sunday night. How does one rave to Katy Perry? Seriously. Elevator music. They even had the nerve to play a remix of Friday....FRIDAY. WHYYYYY?!

but other then that. Loved it! Had loads of fun at the Fur Games and made some new friends. It was great.

Only a minor case of con crud, and the PCD is being kept away by the various aches and pains of my body telling me I really don't need to be at a con longer then three days lol.

If there's one thing I hate about dressing formal all the time is that it makes me walk with perfect posture which is all well and good...when you don't have work related back injuries that become very stiff and painful after a couple hours >.<
