So I've been back at home from school for a few weeks now. Life has been much calmer as a result, as you could imagine. I've been dealing with some mental health stuff, and that's going alright, but more importantly, I'm writing again!

I've started out with shorter stuff, but I've got some prompt responses on Tumblr in progress at the moment and I have a gift ficlet I will write for a good friend over there! After that, I'll surely have more stuff to write, too! Happiness! It's a thing that really and truly makes me happy, and it feels so good to finally be doing it for myself again. <3

Speaking of things that make me happy, it feels very good to be interacting with you people around the fandom again. It really does. Being involved in this fandom has been a huge source of happiness for me for the past almost three years. I remember being a teenager and often looking around at art groups and whatnot in fandom and never interacting, but thinking about how enjoyable it would be to do so.

Let me just say that I love you guys and it has been hugely rewarding to be involved in this community. I only plan on becoming more involved in the future. I've spent far too long being quiet and stuck in my collegiate work and I learned this year that I will not be happy if I allow my entire life to revolve around my work. I have to make myself happy first and foremost, and being here and speaking with you all makes me happy. I'd like to think I'm welcome and that, in some way, I've brightened your days too. <3 <3 <3

Fandom and creation are two very big parts of my life - it feels incredible to be doing them both again. More importantly, it feels incredible to be involving myself in both of them again. I love you guys, and I love making creative things happen around here. So, thanks to you all for being around for that.

Hey there all you lovely people. :)

So, guess who just spent the past two-and-a-half hours going through their crammed inbox and splurging all over everyone's wonderful artwork (figuratively, not literally, ofc)? THIS GUY! *winks and does finger guns*

I've still got well over 180 submissions to go through, and it's not like I'm commenting on everything (I'd never be able to do so, let's be honest :'D ), but there's so much I've kept back there that I have so many #feels about that it's necessary that I clean it up. Even stuff from, like, well over four months ago. Hooooboy, sounds about right, doesn't it? XD

I guess it just goes to show how distant I've kinda been these past, say, four or five months. This past semester of college was, well, not quite ideal. I got through excellently; all things considered, this spring semester was a hell of a lot better than the spring semester of my freshman year. I don't want to splurge about all my life stuff and my mindset and whatnot because I don't want to bore people/cast a shadow on anyone's day, but I am so glad that school is over for the summer. You guys have no idea. :'D

These past couple of months I've been trying my best to just reduce the anxiety and stress in my life, with varying success at different times, and I've been especially trying to do that these past two weeks, what with being out of school and all. I think that by now I've finally managed to do it, and I'm feeling great today. <3 It's just been a semester full of REVELATIONS and DEEPLY INTROSPECTIVE PERSONAL CRAP and yeah, now's a time that demands reflection regarding where I want to go/what I feel that I need in my life most I guess? Lol, SENTIMENTALITY AND LIFE STUFF WOOOOOO!!!

But yeah, I've just been chilling at the house, enjoying this lovely A/C and playing shit-tons of video games like Spore and FTL. I still have not completed Andromeda; as a matter of fact I haven't even touched my single-player game in, well, going on a month I think. But of course, I still love Andromeda. I still do. So much. So very, very much. <3 I've even got some good ideas for at least two OCs that I can toy around with in the new 'verse, one of which I'm very fond of already... >u> <u<

Besides all of that, something I definitely realized a few times over the semester was just how much I miss feeling involved around here. I'm certainly still around and I certainly haven't left our little community, by any means, but I was clearly away for some long stretches of time a lot over the past few months. Not to be an overly-emotional dorf, but I feel almost like I've disconnected from some of you guys??? and although I'm sure that's not the case, it's just kinda been on my mind every now and again. So hey, I'll definitely be screaming about submissions more often and if anyone's up to do a stream, I plan to be there. Woop-woop! :D

Besides that, I've been thinking about writing a lot recently. I'm honestly kinda glad I didn't push myself to try submitting anything over the past few months because, looking back at my more recent work, I can't be satisfied. It's all just so uppity, regarding word choice and otherwise. I've been looking back at my older work recently (meaning the stuff I was writing over the course of 2016) and I'm far more satisfied reading that than anything I've written, say this semester. When I get back to typing stuff up, it'll be more in tune with my own characteristic style and artistic intentions, rather than written to be like some kind of overly-uppity crap. It's never a good idea for me to try and put out work when I'm not relaxed, so I won't do that anymore. I'm still really and truly passionate about the idea of writing and, of course, actually doing it, and even when coming back to it after long stints of time during which I haven't written, I can easily just slip right back into my groove if I'm doing it while I'm physically and psychologically at ease. <3

Alright, wow, this is a long-assed journal, but I had a lot to talk about, I guess. If any of you guys happened to read this far, you deserve a medal at the very least.

So, as of the time I'm writing this, Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to release in literally one minute!

Guys! It's happening! It's really happening!

*jumps up and down, dances about maniacally*

On a slightly more serious note, I admit, I know I really haven't talked about it that much with everybody over the course of these past few months, so I probably haven't looked especially enthusiastic about it. I really regret that, too, and while it's definitely partly due to me being a very dedicated (and, therefore, very busy) college student in what's turned out to be a very fast-paced and hectic semester (much to my chagrin), it's also partly due to the fact that for a long time, I actually wasn't all that invested in Andromeda.

The setting of the Andromeda galaxy, the whole Andromeda Initiative, and a whole slew of other things in this new game seemed so vague to me (among other things) that I couldn't really put myself behind Andromeda for a while. Everyone else seemed so hyped, while I was more like hyped with a 9-foot pole.

I'm happy to say that that has most definitely changed, especially in these past few weeks (this last week in particular!). I've taken great care not to spoil myself (and I'd like to think I've done a great job of doing so), but I haven't been ignoring all the excellent content that's coming out related to the game and... guys?

I am hooked. I am most definitely hooked. <3 <3 <3

I mean, seriously. LOOK AT VETRA!!! LOOK AT TIRAN!!! LOOK AT THAT MULTIPLAYER!!! LOOK AT THAT EXPLORATION!!! LOOK AT THOSE MAYBE LESS-THAN-STELLAR (heh... "stellar") BUT STILL NOT-AS-BAD-AS-THEY-COULD-BE ANIMATIONS!!! LOOK AT THIS GAMMMEEEEEEE!!!

Said pic made me jump about my dorm and squeal as soon as I saw it, so y'all enjoy the visual image of a janky white dude with a frizzy jewfro dancing around a typical college dorm room with glee for a few minutes. ;)

So, on another subject, I'm really hoping I'll be able to enjoy more time with the rest of you guys here on FA in the coming weeks. College, life, thoughts, and plans have been keeping me so, so occupied and I've had such an objective mindset about things for so long that, for a while, I felt kiiiinda like I'd started losing touch with my creative side. I've also got a metric shit-ton of submissions I still need to go through (all of which are lovely as always, I assure you!). I'm pretty sure that playing ME: A may help with reviving my love of tis fandom, too, and what's good is that I'll be playing the game this Friday! Gotta save it for the end of the week when I'm in the right mindset for it.

To be honest, I was being an anxious dorf about playing a new Mass Effect game in the middle of the semester, not due to workload-related issues, but due to my state of mind and how I'd probably be so busy that I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy it and rationalize all the glorious details. But, you know what? I'm just not even going to worry. I've been pushing so hard and getting results that I can more than afford to actually sit down and enjoy something I'm greatly passionate about. The moment I get stressed is the moment where things start to become problematic, so I'm just going to do what I've been trying hard to do as of late: reduce my stress and actually take everything in. <3

Once I get through this week, I have every intention of heading home, sitting down, popping open a cold brew, taking a deep breath, and enjoying this game because oh my goodness a new Mass Effect game is out. -u- WHO'S READY TO SWEET-TALK THAT TALL LADY TURIAN WITH THE COOL VISOR?! I KNOW I AM!!!

Maybe some of you guys will be up for some multiplayer soon? 0w0

Whatever the case, here's hoping we all enjoy it and that it inspires a great many more fandom creations and whatnot in the coming years!

First off, I know I've been very much away for, well, quite some time! Honestly, since the semester has started up again I've been keeping myself verrrrrry busy, so really I haven't had that much time to splurge all over everyone's submissions like I usually do. Nevertheless, I'm seeing all the work you guys are putting up and I'm -loving- it, of course. Y'all are awesome, know it! <3 <3 <3

Secondly, a couple of very talented people here on FA  Lingrimm need some help! For the past, say, two months or so, I've been following a project of theirs that they've been working on for quite some time called "The Crown of Leaves" and holy crap, you guys, it's effing -awesome.- Seriously, take a look for yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqNX7O3i-aM

What this is is a visual novel/point-and-click adventure game, and guys, oh my gosh, I can't easily express my excitement for it. Just two months ago I wouldn't have been too into anything very anthro-related, but the amount of work and effort Lins and Grimm have put into this is just astonishing, and I can't help but to be drawn in by the world they've so carefully crafted here.

Don't be turned off by it being a "visual novel," it's not like a dating sim (although certain characters -can- be dated, which is awesome); it's a fully-realized adventure game with a completely original plot and characters, and Lins and Grimm (plus a couple very talented friends of theirs) have done it all by themselves. That artwork? Those animations? The gorgeously-crafted... everything? It's all theirs, 100%, and they've put so much effort into it over the past I don't even know how long. In other news, although I haven't uploaded anything new recently, I -was- writing a few things here and there not long ago and I've always got tons of little (and not-so-little) WIPs on my computer; I'm thinking of getting a few things down sometime or another, but until then, I've got other plans.

I actually am in the process of revising some of my currently-uploaded pieces for things like grammatical correctness (present/past tense, word choice, etc.) and conciseness at the moment. I don't know when they'll be done, but only two of them really need any more work; the other two are good to go. I'm thinking of getting them reuploaded after the new year and then, after that, I plan to get started on some other projects (assuming my new classes that I'll be in next year allow me time for it, that is) that I've had churning around in my brain for a while now.

Thinking I might write some OC bios and post 'em here too, everyone loves OC bios right? *waggles eyebrows*

One more thing, due to some interest from a certain charming scotsman about ( ;3 ), I'm considering doing some public writing commissions at some point. It's a long ways off, but I'm all about trying it... I've never been paid for my writing, but it's always been something I've loved, so... yeah... any interest in that, you guys? >u>

But in more pressing news, someone here in the community's in a bit of a bad situation and needs our help.  Fang_Shadow is going to need a root canal to help with an abscess tooth, which has come about due to a bit of an unfortunate accident. Due to also unfortunate circumstances, they don't have insurance at the moment to cover the costs, so that means that their last ditch effort is opening up a gofundme to raise funds for the procedure.

Hey you guys, I'm officially on winter break - my first semester of sophomore year just ended, woo! That means I get a whooooole month off and then some! <3 <3 <3

I don't know what all my final grades are yet, and although I'm sure they're good, I still don't feel like I can celebrate just yet, but I -am- glad to be home again, especially after all the nights of getting extremely perfectionistic about papers because #englishmajorproblems. :*) Now time for VIDEOGAEMS!!!

I -may- have a rant about Mass Effect Andromeda later (holy fuck them ME1 vibes though, and VETRA OH MY GOD!!! Hey guys,

I figured it's about time I updated this journal and all, especially considering recent events. I don't really have all that much to say, I don't really feel that I need to elaborate on recent events or anything, but I did want all you guys to know that you've all got my best wishes. As a citizen of the U.S. I was especially scared about "recent events" as I'll call them but hey, here's hoping for the best.

I'm hoping to actually upload some feelgood literature soon, and also upload all my current works to places like Tumblr and AO3 ( http://archiveofourown.org/users/ErkTheWanderer ), because I really want to get my name out there more if I can. :3 But yeah, I'm thinking of trying to get something new uploaded soon; the time kinda demands it, y'know? The only thing is that things are looking very busy up here at school and all so... I'm not sure when that will be.

I actually did write a lovely piece for a friend recently that I'm very proud of and want to upload soon, too! Just gotta... do some last revisions on it for the friend in question so that it'll be "canonically accurate" and whatnot, and then we'll be good to go. So, be on the lookout for that sometime soon maybe!

Just... very busy at the same time too, and frankly... things have been a bit rough as of late, to put it lightly... it's been a helluva stretch. :/

Hello again everybody. :D

So, as you all probably know from the last journal, I've been back up at college these past few weeks. Things have been a bit busier than anticipated, but all is well and I am, for the most part, enjoying my classes so far! :) I don't think this'll hurt my ability to hang around here as much as usual or anything, but hey, I may occasionally take a while to reply to stuff, among other things, so yeah, just an FYI I guess.

I've also got a few WIPs going, and one in particular that, while originally intended as a short little feelgood piece, has quickly grown into something more ambitious, and I've found myself slaving away at it recently. I -really- want to upload things more often, as I have so many ideas and thoroughly fleshed-out backstories to tell, but... busy things, and perfectionism, and... so much else. XD I'm thinking I'm going to upload the first part of it tonight and simply keep it at that, as I think it'll really work that way. So, keep your eyes open if you happen to be interested at all in some writing? :3

Now, MORE NOTABLY, there have been a great many reports around lately of an "art thief" by the name of drtraumaty lurking about, using the works of various other artists without permission. I found an official site for them (really, all you have to do is google them to find their accounts on places like dA, among others), and it's plainly obvious that there's a lot of content being used without permission here.

Apparently, the person in particular has not responded to polite, well-given requests by others to stop using the work of others without permission by blocking those sending the requests and doing absolutely nothing to delete the "stolen" works.

So, really, at this point I guess all we can do is spread awareness and report this individual to whatever authorities happen to be present on each site. Please everyone be aware and make sure none of your hard work has been stolen!

Gallus - This was actually pretty difficult, as I was looking for some that would be at least somewhat similar to him, and I kinda ended up settling on a Poochyena which he'd lovingly raise into a Mightyena. In all its descriptions, it says that this annoying little common bugger from Gen 3 recognizes skilled trainers, and displays extreme loyalty to them. Plus it's known to work as part of a pack, and Gallus could use it to sniff things out or as a badass attack dog if necessary. Realtalk tho, even though I know it's based more off of a hyena (as the name implies), it seems to me to resemble a wolf, and I've often found Gallus himself rather similar to a wolf, all serious and dad-like <3 . So, I couldn't help myself! ^w^ Plus Gallus likes cute things. X3 It's that, or maybe a Lucario (furry fetishers keep away, plz XD ) that he could spar with.

Lucida - Ahhh, Lucy, my lovely little bbygurl ( XD ), considering that's she shares a number of traits with a wren and she's so cute and smol, the first thing that came to mind for her was a Torchic. 'tis cute, little, seemingly quite energetic, and it's warm! Considering also that I associate Lucida with light and clarity (hint hint, look at her name), I figured that Torchic, being a fire-type, was just a perfect fit. Plus, it eventually evolves into a Blaziken, so it'd be a martial artist manly-man chicken thing that she could sic on problem patients and otherwise mean people. X3 If not Torchic, I would probably go with either a Cyndaquil (it's furry like a cat, she'd love it! Plus it's timid, not unlike her at times, so there's some similarity too!) or maybe a Vulpix.

Dario - Unnnnnngh, I've never imagined Dario doing many pet-related things, so for a while I wasn't sure which one would suit him. In the end though, I feel like Darry'd want something like a Charizard if only for the coolness factor of having a big fire-breathing dragon (it -is- a dragon right? Right?) around. Plus it can fly, and Dario, as a supply pilot/skycar racing enthusiast LOVES flying, so it's a win-win!

I uhhh, I don't really know who I can tag that hasn't already been tagged. :( So I guess this'll just die with me? Lol.

Hey there errrrbody!

I figured it was about time I updated this journal to make everybody aware that I HAVE FINALLY SOLVED MY LONG-TIME COMPUTER ISSUES WITH A NEW HP PAVILION!!! :D So, no more using the phone for FA! WOOOOOO!!!

Alongside that, I will be back up at my university on the 12th, so summer vacation will be over for me soon. Sadly, I had to go through a lot of it without the computer available, meaning that I didn't end up getting to write as much as I'd like. BUT, I do have tons and tons of WIPs sitting on my computer (hooray for using a backup hard drive!), and I've got one in particular that I've been working quite a bit on. :) Not sure I'll upload it yet, but hey, I'm happy about it.

So, like, if anyone wants to do a stream sometime soon now that I can actually join them that’d be, like, awesome. XD

Hey there you guys, hope everyone's been enjoying being baked alive in the summer heat and that everyone is well. <3

I'm making this journal for someone in particular, I felt absolutely obligated to do so, so please read below!

A certain, lovely, talented individual here that many of us cherish is going through a bit of a rough time right now. Between being away from home and being put in a variety of very troubling situations, she could absolutely use some love. I'm not going to splurge her whole life story here on my journal, and I rather doubt that she'd appreciate it if I did, but to put it very simply,  PalavenMoons could use all the love abd positivity you guys can send her right now. She's been through a number of things recently that are completely outside of her control and she doesn't deserve to be put through such, well, shit. :(

She's always been quite a source of inspiration for me, and I've always thoroughly appreciated her company - I don't want to sound demanding or overly sappy or anything like that, but really, she could use some good vibes.

So yeah, I felt I needed to make this post for her. Please please please y'all, if you guys could just send her a sweet note or anything, I'm sure it'd be appreciated! <3

Hello all of you cool, awesome people! :D

So, this is a relevant update, for two reasons:

1) From July 7th to July 11th, I will be out of town on vacation with the family. So I may not be on FA quite so much, as I won't have my computer with me. I'll still be checking for stuff on my phone though, so I'll try and keep in touch incase anyone happens to need anything!

2) My computer is having issues again. I think that it's my fault this time around (battery issues from running it too long, I believe), but whatever the case, it may be out of commission for a while. I may end up relying on my phone again, but no worries. I was in the process of writing a little something too, but I'll make do. *paps self for goofing up*

Hello all! <3

So, I've recently learned that, like, a LOT of you lovely people have birthdays coming up in June! :D

That's awesome! But sadly, I'm no expert visual artist like many of you guys, and I feel that around here that's what ends up happening as a bday gift (nods at  Feranta and her lovely bust of Lucida <3 ). I was still hoping to see if I could do -something- though...

So I was making this journal to ask if anyone was interested in having me write something for them! I'm not asking for specific requests atm (though if you have one, PLEASE DO note me about it!), but I was just curious as to whether or not anyone would like something like this.

I figured that if people are interested, I can pleasantly surprise them on their bday with a 1000-2000 word vignette centering on their characters, or something similar!

Of course, people could ask for as little or as much as they'd like.

So, would anybody be interested in seeing this from me? Please speak up! I'd love people's enthusiasm regarding this! :)

So, not to spill my whole life story to y'all, but GUESS WHO JUST FINISHED HIS FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE/ADULTING?!!!

Honestly feeling great about it, especially so after this very odd (but still very successful! <3 ) semester, during which I've had to go full blast on multiple occasions. You all have probably noticed me being less active at times, that's probably why!

But yeah! Finally done with things for now. :3 This means that I'll have more time for writing and other things, so yay! ^w^

Currently still adjusting to being back in town again, but my current obsession with GRID Autosport ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gWnRHwn4EgY ) is helping matters. :3

I hope everyone's been quite well these past few weeks! <3 I was tagged by no fewer than four people to do the OC meme that's been spreading around, and that's great because I absolutely love doing these! :D

There's just one problem… And I certainly don't want to bog anyone down with my personal life and shit, but I figure it's quite relevant that my computer may very well be in the slow process of dying after nearly 5 years of dedicated service. I'm in the process of working with it to get my back ups set up one last time before finding a replacement, but for now, I'm having to use my phone for Internet business, including this.

So! If any of my journals don't look quite right or anything like that, you know why. But let's cut to the chase!

Lucida Tillian (tagged by  Feranta )

1) Born somewhat premature, and having "short" genes from her father's side as well, she's left to being quite a small, slight Turian; very petite and thin too. (although she does have nice hips. :3 )

2) in spite of her diminutive, waifish proportions, she more than makes up for her slight physical frame with sheer intellectual capability. She's a pint sized powerhouse! <3

3) with a mind like hers, she's a very deep thinker and can easily ponder over or research something for hours on end, and therefore, she takes in a staggering amount of information on things when given the time.

4) she decided to go into psychology before signing up for the military, as a young adolescent. In spite of this, her father insisted that she have some sort of "field service," meaning that she spent the first year of military life as an assistant quartermaster.

5) it was through this that she meant Gallus, her current boyfriend of about two years (as of 2172). Being the young gentleman that he was, he invited her out with some of the other recruits during their first shore leave on the citadel. They immediately hit it off, and found it easy to relate overtime, sharing intellectual capability and questionable family lives. In one another, they seemed able to cure their respective senses of isolation. They were so young… :*)

6) I have the idea that Lucy and her family, at least on her father's side, are of a Turian culture similar in some ways to our own Italian culture, although she doesn't represent the stereotype that much herself. She is certainly fond of her people's food though, and works part-time at a takeout restaurant featuring that sort of cuisine. :3

7) she's not a heavy eater at all though, and will always be the one to order the smallest serving at any restaurant. I can just picture friends teasing her, "Is widdle Lucy fulllll?! Lololol top kek"

8) She lives in Shalta ward in a rather nice condo-style apartment with three other roommates, a human music enthusiast, a successful femtur fashion model, and a young salarian... *insert well-paying occupation here; i'm still working on him.* she does plan to eventually move in with Gallus once he's done being a badass in the Special Forces. Speaking of which…

1) A somewhat tall, leggy, and muscular Turian of creamy white coloring, he was born on Palaven to a female mercenary looking for a change, and a somewhat washed up data analyst.

2) he has A distant and very troubled relationship with his father, and his mother is seemingly nonexistent, having left him behind for complicated reasons long ago. It wasn't done out of a lack of love, and there's no hostility between him and his mother, but it's… Complicated and they rarely ever speak. (Wow Erk, let's not spoil too much!)

3) He was in an Honors program for young up-and-coming soldiers before enlisting, and has grown into quite a capable soldier during his service, currently serving in the special forces.

4) he does well in his work, but admits to being quite worried about the nature of the hierarchy, and where he may be sent off to if the wrong decision is made by the authorities. He certainly doesn't follow blindly; it's in his nature to be analytical.

5) speaking of which, he is technically on the autism spectrum, although one generally wouldn't know it from his outward appearance. Although some of the "symptoms," are definitely there mentally, he's learned to live well with such things. It pairs well with his considerable intellect. :)

6) he suffers from a light case of "resting asshole face," (male variant of "resting asshole face" and his default expression remains rather stern, leading some to believe that he is more stoic than he actually is. It pairs well with some of his more "cynical" outlooks on matters, but he's actually very polite and kindly with those he deems trustworthy. If you're reading this, Nim, take pleasure in knowing that Riyv is no longer the only one. ;)

7) his facial expressions are actually very... well... expressionate, assuming you manage to really surprise or excite him. It can be quite jarring to those who aren't on intimate terms with him to see just how wide his eyes can actually go. XD

8) he's fond of bright and bubbly, petite women, which is good for him, because he's very much in love with Lucida Tillian. <3

9) he is developing a very significant fondness for human 80s rock, particularly Phil Collins, feeling that The lyricist captures his mindset in a lot of his works. He was introduced to the genre by a human in the Systems Alliance special forces during a joint operation in his earlier years.

10) he also has an interest in literature, and occasionally writes brief vignettes in his off-time. Right now, he's sticking to love poems, for obvious reasons. ;)

11) Meta fact: His name is based off of both the latin word for "cock/rooster" ( ;3 ) the former leader of the thieves guild in Skyrim.

12) although he doesn't get a chance to do it often, he finds that he is rather fond of cooking, especially if it's for breakfast. He makes rather nice, sweet pancakes.

13) before hooking up with Lucy at age 21, he was into other "committed" relationships. One was with a comrade of his whom he was quite fond of, the other was with a rollercoaster-crazy nurse serving on the ship on which he'd been stationed.

14) He speaks with an accent native to Palaven, somewhat similar to Garrus' accent. It's less pronouns now than it was in his use, but with some words he says you can still hear it. :3

15) he greatly prefers burst fire rifles over fully automatic ones.

16) Lastly, he hopes to continue working with the military in some fashion after he finishes serving as a full-time soldier, but he has every intention of eventually settling down with Lucy. <3 <3 <3

1) The younger brother of Lucy, he's also a bit on the short side, but he's definitely taller than his sister.

7) he is, however, still a shameless adrenaline junkie, and tends to be the first to be willing to try something completely new and often dangerous. This does nothing for his poor luck with women.

8) he's quite fond of Gallus, and hopes that he and his sister can eventually settle down together.
