...the wind whoosh all around him, his lariat twirling like an extended halo over his head, his target locked in his site as he chased down his prey. He had been training for this moment for so long, he simply couldn't fail at this time. When his mighty steed had brought him within range, the Ranger slung his lasso forward with expert aim. The loop of ranch rope encircling the legs of his target as he wrapped his the coils in his one hand twrice around the horn of his saddle to prevent his prey from getting any further as his horse back up to keep the line tight. Now the dragon lunged forward having hit the ground after hurriedly dismounting his steed, his eyes fixed on the target.

Yeah...life kinda happened.

Good news:

Sorry for disappearing y'all. Went through a mini crisis. I'm back and have some new ideas...and new characters I can't wait to show you

The Ranger is very selectively competitive in things he does. One of those things is his roping. Challenge him to any kind of roping contest and he won't hold back.

His main horse is a palomino, standing at about 20 hands, a giant, weighing in at 1200 lbs of which all is muscle. His name is Jacks. Jacks has two responses to strangers. One, he can tell if James trusts you, in which case he'll give you a back breaking hug with his neck. Or two, he whiney loudly and stomp his feet, trying to scare you off before nipping at you.

In the morning, James has a certain routine he likes to follow while getting for the day, first of which is stretch out his wings and pluck any loose scales. His next thing he does, after the normal get dressed and jazzed is to make sure his emergency stash of funds is safe and sound.

Inside the house of the Texas Ranger is a picture frame of James and what appears to be a light blue dragon similar to himself accept they seem to be a whole foot shorter than him. Another key feature would be their more feminine features. Now then, which do you think this?

I have an idea for the beginning of James's story. In short, walk the reader through a day in his life, let y'all meet the people he interacts with on a daily basis, and go from there. What do you guys thinK?

So when James isn't working, he can usually be found on farm back home or at the local saloon at one of the poker tables. He may not be that good at the game, but honestly just plays for fun.

James is, despite his dragonic nature, a pacifist. He'll always try to talk to the criminal into giving themselves up first or someone out of doing a crime before getting more involved.

Thank you all to those who have so far shown support for James, I'm genuinely surprised that there are people who want to meet and get to know this dragon cowboy. So, as a part of a thank you, here are some facts about the Texas Ranger.

1. James is strict, but fair when it comes to those he jails. Nor is he a cruel jailer, but he's no pushover either.
2. Before becoming a Ranger, James was a farmhand on one of the local ranches, hence his proficiency with a lariat/piggin' string.
3. While he may not be the buffest, his dragonic strength more than makes up for that.
4. He loves a good sandwich, any kind really, those are his usual meals.
5. He's no stranger to gunfights and has been in his fair share, hence he keeps his revolver six-piece strapped to his side.
6. Of course, he will try to settle things peacefully first, then move to non-lethal, then he'll go for lethal when he has no other choice.
7. He has siblings who he has never met sadly.
8. He enjoys poker, though he never can seem to hit the jackpot, and always just have small winnings.
9. He'll greet everyone with a sturdy [bold] HOWDY [/bold] and a firm handshake.
10. He loves his job and doesn't see himself quitting it for a long time.

Would you imagine that my fursona is a drake, that's right a cowboy/texas ranger/dragon. His name is James. He a patriotic, proud, and strong Texas Ranger who protects where he lives with his life and loves the people in his town who he treats like family, seeing as how his was...well...yea.

Not gonna lie, James knows his way around a lasso and piggin string, and ain't shy 'bout puttin criminals in a hogtie. He hasn't really had much time for love sadly, as he keeps busy with his work though I will he's bi as can be.

James is a dragon with sapphire blue scales, white claws, and average-sized wings and tail. He wears a white Stetson and brown cowboy boots. Other than that his usual jeans and white button-up T-shirt. He loves to poker, not particularly lucky at it, but he still has fun during it.

Prior to being a Texas Ranger he was a ranch hand in the town he lives in until his parents...left enthusiastically. So when he became of age he went and signed up with the local law enforcement, eventually workin his way to texas ranger.

So yeah, what do you think of James?
