General | Posted 10 years agoHello to all those who read these sometimes not so great journals!
Since I am more of a stalker on my own account due to being a tad bit more busy with GFM and other things I wanted to let everyone know that Scooby and I started looking for a house to buy not long ago again.
Well we found a house we both love, our offer was accepted, and now we're just waiting for our closing date to get closer. This house in my eyes is amazing, everything I wanted in a house I have now! OMG it's spacious with big rooms, and an open floor plan. I am still kinda in shock and have butterflies in my stomach from the excitement.
With that being said, I am starting the tedious task of packing up all of our non essentials for our big move that will most likely be at the end of this month! So that means I will be even more busy, and may end up without interwebs for a little while (couple days at most we are hoping).
Hope everyone is having a wonderful beginning of the year, and may the rest of this year be good to all of us!

General | Posted 11 years agoSo we're not getting the house, we're gonna put off looking for a house for about a year or so, or simply till we are financially stable enough.... This turn of events sucks hard core, I was so in love with that house.
Oh well, now I get to focus on other things more.

Update....finally
General | Posted 11 years agoSo I guess it's time to do an update for everyone who watches me. I may not post very often and I apologize for that. I am usually pretty busy with things, though I do get on here like a creeper to keep up with everyone who posts art, stories, and journals.
My life has been busy as of late, I have successfully created a new corporation, done taxes on the old corporation and am waiting for word to complete the termination of the old one. My team and I have been working diligently to get everything in order for next years convention
gatewayfurmeet (nothing has been done on our FA page yet.).
With all of that on my plate I have also been going to school to get my ged (halfway done, just need to take and pass 2 more tests), and looking for a job ( totally harder than it seems). My mate and I have also been looking to buy a house. We have decided that it would be cheaper to pay a mortgage than the rent we currently pay, plus it would be ours to do with how we see fit.
We are currently dealing with alot of stress from every angle, but I try not to let it get me down. We have been given bad news that makes me put more energy and focus on getting a job and my ged. We have also placed an offer on a cute house and it was accepted, so we are trying to get all of that done and are waiting for a closing date so we can finally pack, do repairs, and move.
That's pretty much it, the main reasons you don't see many posts, journals, or anything from me is because of life. lol
Here's to having alot of good news to come soon from me, and of course from my team and convention.

Life update!
General | Posted 11 years agoSo I went to the doctor Friday to talk about my cholesterol and i'll be damned if I wasn't put on a new medication. I am now going to be taking two medications for the rest of my life!
My doc told me that I am at an extremely high risk of getting Coronary Artery Disease, which will put me at a high risk of Heart attack, and or stroke. It sucks because I have been dieting and exercising and my weight is going down, but even tho all that is getting better my cholesterol is continuously rising. (the bad is way to high, and the good is way to low.)
So that's what I have to do now for the rest of my days, one medication for my hormones, and now this for my cholesterol.
Oh and I was also diagnosed with IBS....... Seriously?!?!?!? She wanted to put me on medication for that too, but I refused. If it gets worse or to bothersome then I will talk to her about adding another medication.
I am scared to take the cholesterol medication cause one of the side effects is leg cramping, like bad from what I hear. <.< why oh why....
Anywho, school is coming along, I will have to take another course as I didn't have adequate time to learn Science, and Math is really hurting me. Remember I've been out of school for about 19 years now. e.e

GFM 2014 and life updates!
General | Posted 11 years agoHello everyone! I just wanted to make a quick journal before trying to play catch up on missed homework and assignments from my class.
I want to give a huge shout out to my GFM team, you guys were amazing this past weekend! I couldn't have pulled this con off without each and every one of you, your hard work and dedication are above and beyond any words I can think of right now.
Thank you to all the wonderful people that volunteered this past weekend as well, you guys did an awesome job. We will be contacting all of the volunteers here soon with time worked and more information.
Thank you to all of the vendors that chose to take a chance at a first year convention. PeacePaw you are an amazing woman and never let anyone tell you different! I had an amazing time hanging out with you and getting to know you better.
A huge huge thank you to everyone who attended, you guys showed massive support to us by simply coming to our first year. Hugs all around!!!! I am so glad everyone had a good time this past weekend and I look forward to seeing all of you next year again!
We worked hard and seeing the smiles on our attendees faces just prove we did a good job!
As some of you know I am going back to school to get my GED, while this is supposed to seem simple I assure you it is hard as hell. Not only do I have to learn 4 subjects and pass tests that cost more money than I have, I have to pass a Medical Terminology class on top of the others. It's pretty hard to compact all this learning into only about 8 weeks, so I've been working my ass off to better myself and my education. I have to take and pass all of my tests before May 6th 2014. Right now to the left of me is a stack about 4 inches of school work that still needs to be done. I have the compus test tomorrow and 4 more test to do in the upcoming few weeks.
On top of school, and GFM, my mate and I have been looking to buy a house. We have been dealing with looking, placing bids, doing inspections (which are not cheap), and all the paperwork that is involved. Scooby had to leave the con this weekend for a few hours to deal with an offer we placed on a house.
So things here in my life have been hectic, stressful, and at the same time joyful. Now onto this home work for me, I am looking forward to passing this class, getting my ged, getting our house and moving into it, going to collage, and all the GFM stuff that we will be starting here very very soon.
Hope you guys had a blast last weekend, I know I did. My sore, achy, tired body is proof of it! I could sleep for a week right now!

UPDATE AND GFM STUFF
General | Posted 12 years agoHello my fellow fuzzbutts! I haven't been very active on here as I have been working my tail off (literally) on Gateway Fur Meet convention stuff.
I wanted to post an update for anyone who reads my journals, things are coming along grand with our convention and I am so excited and anxious for our first year. I can't believe its now only three months away! I hope we get alot of attendees our first year and years to come. I have been trying my hardest to "think outside the box" with our convention's offerings and events.
I know that pretty much every con has the same panels and what not and I would like to hear ideas and suggestions from others on what they want at a con. What do you want to see, do, hear, ect. Input from others is what helps cons generate better events.
I have not had time to draw with all of the work i've been doing and that sucks cause I need the practice. I am trying to find an artist that is good at drawing horses (preferably anthro) for our convention's mascot. If you are interested please note me and/or email me at bluefoxie80 [AT] yahoo [DOT] com. I am not asking for free art by any means but I would like a good artist who is willing to help us out.

CALLING ALL FRIENDS AN WATCHERS, please look e.e
General | Posted 12 years agoAs everyone knows I am apart of Gateway Fur Meet, the chairman, and right now I hold many other titles too. We are looking for idea's from our friends and supporters of our convention to help us try an choose a mascot animal.
We've gotten a few responses and wonderful idea's/opinions already, but we want to hear from you. Thats right you, all of you. I think this is a good way to branch out to all of the furry community to be apart of something so simple yet so much fun and creative.
This is taken directly from our Facebook page, HELP GFM! When you think of Missouri and/or Gateway Fur Meet what animal pops into your mind? We are looking for a type of "mascot" for our convention to use on a yearly basis, AND we want your opinion, and thoughts/ideas! We want your involvement.
Also if everyone could help out with spreading the word about GFM I will love you guys forever an ever!
