Since our founding in 2000, Midwest FurFest has always been on the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was a good, reliable date, didn’t conflict with other conventions, and suited our hotels as well. We stuck with this weekend from the (late, lamented) Sheraton Arlington Park, to the Hyatt Regency Woodfield (R.I.P. koi pond), to the Westin North Shore (the less said, the better), to our newest home, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.
When we moved to the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, we thought we had it all – huge amounts of space, and what seemed a lot of hotel rooms. But then we grew larger, and larger....

Midwest FurFest 2013: End of the voyage.
General | Posted 12 years agoOur voyage is over and we have finally put ashore! At Midwest FurFest 2013, we were pleased to welcome 3,904 attendees, which included 240 Sponsors and 75 Shiny Sponsors. We had 972 fursuiters in the Fursuit Parade. Between donations, the Charity Poker Tournament, the Charity Aucton, and 2 and Kage's Charity Show, $8,000 was raised for our charity, One Tail at a Time. We were happy to add a check for $20,000 on top of that, bringing the total donation to $28,000!

Our Guests of Honor for Midwest FurFest 2014 will be talented fursuit makers Lacy and Nick of Fursuiting.com, as well as the amazing artists Novadog/D. Walker and Sabretoothed Ermine. And with that, we're going to take a few weeks to rest, recover, and enjoy the holidays with our families and friends. After that it's back to work to start planning MIDWEST FURFEST 2014: BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY!

We are excited to kick off the fourteenth year of Midwest FurFest with a bang as we announce that you may now reserve your room at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare for MFF 2013. As we slowly ramp up for the coming year, please note the following dates:
